Which is fair. I also think it's fair to say not 100% of people in baseball would agree and that some might prefer Merrills full season of production

Skenes is winning ROTY.
Merrill has had a really good rookie season, but it's simply not on par with Skenes season.
Chris Sale is going to win the Cy Young, and Skenes has better stats then him in almost every single note worthy category.
ERA, WHIP, Opp BA, Opp SLG, K/9
Skenes was even better than Sale at preventing runners from stealing, only allowing 6 all year to left hander Sales 12.
They aren't goign to give him the Cy Young b/c he missed about 8 starts, but Skenes is having a Cy Young caliber season compared to Merrill's All-star caliber season.
