Burrow is one of the best, but he needs to work on getting the ball out quicker. Flacco isn't getting killed behind this oline the way Burrow does.

Definitely. Burrow plays too much hero ball.

Flacco is also widely regarded as one of the smartest QBs in the modern era. They say he can spend 2 or 3 days with a new scheme and has it down.

He’s done just fine without Tee in the 10 games without him.
Did they have Chase and Boyd and the TE and very solid offensive pieces in these 10 games without Tee?

I feel like Flaccos first 3 games with any team are career games for him, then it goes downhill from there.

He got them into the playoffs in 2023 and then they decided they were going to go back to Watson - you know the guy they are paying $250 million guaranteed to - in 2024 and he was historically bad so they started Jameis in his place to finish the season. Flacco went to the Colts in 2024.

This is the same guy who had maybe the best four game post season run of all time in 2012 only to be almost unplayable a couple years later

He was the full time starter for 5 more seasons after that. Their run game went to shite, they didn’t draft or sign any receivers worth a shite and their playcalling was complete arse. No one was going to perform well with that especially with all of their defensive stalwarts from the 00s retiring out and them not replacing them.

He wasn't benched, he tore his achilles. And DTR was actually the backup at the time, Winston was 3rd string but got a shot because DTR got injured. Close though.

Fair enough, he was historically bad so they should have benched him anyways.

He should be somebody's lead analyst when done, not too much of a star but been good to occasionally great for a LONG time, so he knows a LOT.

Guess that depends on how you define elite really but he’s absolutely not in the Lamar/Mahomes/Allen tier and there’s no argument for him there.

PFF has a ton of respect for their rankings. They had him neck and neck with Lamar for best in the league last year.

It’s amazing his level of ate up-ness lol

Stems from two things:

1) Burrow did something Allen has never been able to do and he can’t stand that
2) he craves trying to be a contrarian, so of course he will try and trash a former lsu player here, in true temu-sfp style

Based on?

Well…..he was ranked the 6th best player in the NFL as voted on by the players themselves. Probably a pretty good starting point to say he’s pretty good.

What? Lose in a Super Bowl? Hell of a flex, Rex Grossman and Chris Chandler did that.

Josh Allen has done something Burrow has never done: Won a MVP. What accomplishment do you believe is more noteworthy?

Lead his team to the Super Bowl. Something that josh hasn’t been able to accomplish. But you knew that already lol

95% of the players in the NFL would pick getting a chance to play in the SB over winning mvp. Don’t be an utter moron just to try and salvage a point that doesn’t exist lol

Well for one, he didn’t lead them there, that defense carried him. If you were an actual Bengals fan you would know this. For two, what did he do once he got there? He lost. When you look back on a player’s career you aren’t going to list a SB loss as an accomplishment.

Dishonest argument. First, the comparison isn’t about playing in one, it’s about losing one. If you think 95% of players in the NFL or hell any sport would take a loss in a championship over a MVP, you’re out of touch with reality. In fact it’s probably 99% who would take a MVP over SB/WS/Finals appearance.
