First. The history of OSU/Michigan has nothing to do with me thinking OSU's fans reactions are funny.
Sure it does. You'd know that if you knew anything about it.

You quickly threw Bama/LSU at me. You are qualified to talk about that history, but I can't speak on OSU/Michigan?
Correct, unless you have some unstated connection to either school.

I actually had a similar thread idea last week and agree 100%. Sign stealing is 100% a function of no huddle offenses relying on signs and it should be legal to make offenses work in hiding their signs. If you're running a player into the huddle with the play (or using a helmet radio), then nobody can steal shite.

I don't even see an issue with this. If you are giving calls in a way which someone can sit in the stands and figure them out, then you have to be smart enough to either change signs consistently or give calls a different way.
Exactly. Nobody in the stands can steal your play in the huddle or via the radio.

Sounds very childlike of you.

I’m just making sure I communicate in a way you and the rest of your fanbase are capable of understanding.

I don’t get it. The game is on TV. So a team can’t watch a recording of a game and glean information from that? Any information from that should be totally legal to use.

There is a proper way to do it and there's the Michigan way to do it, which is not the proper way.
You're not wrong w/ your overall premise.

Go back to the old way of yelling it in a TE or WR's ear then sending him in to tell the QB.
The Cowboys did that because Tom Landry thought Roger Staubach wasn't smart enough to call plays.

Because winning takes A LOT more than just cheating... See Raiders.
“My rookie year, I walked into training camp, and it said Raider rules at the top,” Millen said. “And the first rule for Raider rules was cheating is encouraged, and the second rule was to see rule No. 1."
You know why? Because cheating is just leveling the playing field as everyone cheats in one way or another. Would rather cheat like Bama to get the thoroughbreds than stupid sign-stealing. Air Force can know every play Bama is running, they ain't stopping them.

Before the no-huddle offense infiltrated football, offenses huddled up and defenses had more time to respond to the offensive personnel on the field
Wouldn't they still have to use signs to signal in the play to the QB prior to the huddle?

I’d have no problem with a rule change. I don’t care for the sign b.s.

I agree.
Apparently it was made illegal a while back bc there were programs that couldn’t afford the cost associated with in person scouting(flights, extra staff and so on)so they passed the rule that is currently in place.
