They’ve actually had really good talent at times for Rodgers. They can’t afford good talent for him now because of his contract.

Rodgers strikes me as the type of guy who probably wouldn't even call his own mom if a natural disaster occurred near her house.

yep. i bet if there was a forest fire by her house, he'd start a fundraiser for everyone but her.

No wonder Saban went back to college

It doesn't matter if you are in college or the NFL that was BS. You should be respecting your head coach. This wasn't Les Miles trying to run the Les Miles Offense for the Miami Dolphins.

I think guys like Brees, Brady, etc are working in cahoots with their playcaller

They also have good coaches and never had a very poor coach that stuck around 6 seasons too long.

When you're 5'6" & act like a hard arse to grown men twice your size, you get treated like a bitch.

the kicker to that is they were paid more than him. He has no problem talking shite to broke college kids relying on him to make them rich. I'm sure it killed him to have complete control over his players like he does in college.

As the two men went at it face-to-face, Thomas’s teammates sensed that the linebacker’s fury was placing him on the verge of doing something he would later regret, so they grabbed him by the shoulders and dragged him away as he continued to shout and point a finger at his head coach.

Fake news. It would have been face to belly button.

Saban wont stand for that.

Saban wanted to kill Josh Booty for that when Booty audibled into an INT that got him beat vs. UAB in Saban's 1st year.

This is no big deal because it happens all the time. For example, Elway and Shannahan(when he was Denver's O.C.) used to make up their own plays without telling Dan Reeves. Once Reeves figured it out, Shannahan was fired.

He went to the 49ers as O.C. and won a Super Bowl with Steve Young and eventually was hired as the Broncos head coach, where he won 2 more Super Bowls.

I suspect most quarterbacks ignore the head coach when the head coach doewnt know what he is doing.

, Thomas, because of his experience and talent, was a leader on the defense...then yelled, “I’m a grown-arse man!”
...who never won a Super Bowl. Some leader, splitting the team against the coach. I'm no fan of Saban, but had these man-children actually gone along with Saban and his formula, they may have done something beyond lose.

Green Bay's defense is weak as shite too.

and I think that falls on the GM and not just McCarthy.

He changed Olivia Munn for Danica Patrick, I’m not really shocked at this news.

oh and by the way the Packers have an extra 1st round pick this year b/c of the trade the Saints made to get Davenport.

it will be at least in the high 20's.

I think you’d be a bit pissed off at management when you have to career an entire franchise on your back. Rodgers kept McCarthy employed as a HC longer than McCarthy deserved. Furthermore, GB has done very little to surround Rodgers with talent during his time in GB.

Exactly this. Take it from the mouth of one of his draft picks, Channing Crowder.
quote:

Then Crowder shifted to why Saban’s NFL coaching career didn’t work out.

“He wants the 17, 18, 19-year olds to look up at him on this pedestal as Coach Nick Saban, the greatest ever,” he said. “My linebacking core our rookie year was me, Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Junior Seau. Those three guys didn’t give a damn who Nick Saban was. They’re hall of famers, know what I’m saying?

“Saban didn’t like not being in control. We knew early on he wasn’t gonna make it in the NFL. Not because of his football knowledge — cause he’s still one of the smartest defensive minds I’ve been around — but because of his ego. Because he wanted people to love him and respect him to this god like level and I don’t think a guy like a Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Junior Seau, can look up to anybody like a God because, hell, they are who they are.”
