Should/would Nebraska entertain Bobby Petrino as their next HC?

Missouri State was basically at the bottom of the 1-AA barrel when he took over a few years ago.

Now, they're a perennial FCS playoff team and damn near just beat his old team in Arkansas tonight.

Sure, he's such an a-hole that he has to have his whole family on the coaching staff now because no one else Will work with him, but it doesn't matter. He's the whole program.

Does he fit in Lincoln? Not at all. But he could get that program relevant again in an instant.

Personally, I think he'd be perfect at Auburn when they fire Harsin, but haven't we been down that road before?

Could be interesting. I think he could make something out of nothing in Nebraska but he did seem to hit a wall in Louisville post Lamar Jackson.

He's only good for about 4-5 years at a job because everyone in the athletic office figures out that he's the Devil, but you're going to kick some arse and have a lot of fun doing it until he implodes.

Is that worth it for a desparate fansbase? Ask Missouri State fans right now.

I don’t think he ever gets a power 5 but what could have been. Between being a complete a-hole and not being able to keep it in his pants, he’s lost so much. When it comes to actual coaching, he’s one of the best to ever walk the sidelines. What could he have done at LSU or Auburn? We’ll never know!

His last year at Louisville should disqualify him for any FBS job. He stopped caring and the players stopped caring, and now they're in a hole they can't seem to climb out of. He destroyed that entire program.

I think he's worthy of consideration. Top coordinators have better options than Nebraska so whatever coach they decide on is going to have some warts.

Apparently he was trying to get fired after L'Ville fired his BFF AD, Tom Jurich. That's at least what Andy Staples has eluded to.
