But it's in eastern Washington.

ETA I had a fraternity brother whose father was always threatening to send him to Gonzaga if he didn't straighten up. He made it sound like a prison camp.

Eastern Washington and Spokane are underratedly beautiful and have a ton of outdoors stuff to do. Just cold in the winter.

They have a massively inflated opinion of how important they are and their whining about needing to leave the original Big East b/c Tulane was allow in was weak shite.

No. I've disliked their basketball schools since the 90s when I lived in CT.

Damn!
I moved here and have become a big fan of the big east.
Love their passion and excitement.
Gone to many BE Tourneys
It's been great! Wish the SEC got up for CBB like this.

No, the Big East is getting UConn back which would put them at uneven 11 schools, so if they decide to expand again, they should absolutely add a school like Dayton. Dayton has a great basketball pedigree with a loyal fan base. It is a private Catholic school so it fits in there as well. It would also give Xavier and Butler another natural rival. If the Big East were to expand beyond that, schools like VCU and Davidson should be considered. That would be a nice league:

Big East:

UConn*
Dayton* #13
Villanova #18
Xavier
Butler #17
DePaul
St John's
Creighton
Georgetown
Marquette
Seton Hall
Providence

# = current rankings

In the 6 years since the new Big East was formed:
-Avg over 50% of the conference making NCAA tournament each year
-7 #1 or #2 Seeds
-2 NCAA Titles
-2 National Player of the years
-Deal with MSG to hold conference tournament ever year during camp week for 10 more years

All without arguably the two most important programs – Georgetown and St. John’s – doing anything of note

They are not expanding anytime soon to Gonzaga, SLU or Dayton. 11 is perfect for basketball. They are moving to a 20 game conference season – 11 team = 10 home and homes.
