And he'll get a contract extension of 7 years.

No doubt!

One-man band or depth? I like depth in winning titles. Even Miami's blueprint of selling off their best players for minor league players and picks and raising them and then selling them off again has gleamed them 2 world titles. Does it take that singular bomber sucking the life out of a strong supporting cast, I don't think so.

The better blueprint seems a strong front office that builds from within and makes a shrewd move or two to get them over the top. Washington was smart not to give the entire payroll to Harper and then went out and won a title. Lots of ways you can do it and all have been successful. But paying someone 400 million is not my idea of building a championship team for most major league teams.

Anaheim is not a bad place to live and get paid millions to play a child's sport. The Angels have some young pieces in place. I wouldn't leave either.

What team would make most sense for Trout?

The Yankees have a history of trading away their future for right now and their starting CF are Aaron Hicks and Brett Gardner. There’s your answer.

Trout chose money and living in SOCAL over playoff success. Dude made his own bed.

I don't think they should trade him. They just need to draft and sign players better. I don't recall them signing any meaningful UFA pitcher since they signed Wilson a long time ago. I don't consider Otani a pitcher since he usually hits more than he pitches. How many GM's have the Angels fired since Trout's rookie year?

Sports fans amaze me. LeBron got roasted for wanting out of a shitty Cleveland, yet y’all want Trout out. Dude will go down as a top 5 player ever imo and will never win a title. Still a top 5 player and everyone knows it.

Mike Trout is one of the greatest players to ever play baseball. He's that good. In a different stratosphere relative to his peers than Kevin Love.
