Should Jerry Jones go head and fire Jason Garrett & promote Richard to HC?

Richard was a big name and seemed highly sought after by other NFL teams for a HC position. If Jason Garrett gets the boot, I think Kris Richard is the guy. This defense has an opportunity to be special and Richard can mold this cowboys team to be like year’s past Seahawks teams when they had the legion of boom and Lynch wrecking shop.

No need to go hire a coach who got fired from a middle of the pack Big12 team with an overall losing coaching record just because a former QB of his is having an MVP season, right?

Jason Garrett is like Billy Kennedy. He does just enough when his arse about to get fired to get another 3-4 years. We are stuck

Yeah I could see that. I just have a weird feeling Garrett is done there. When you have a guy like Richard on the staff it’s easy to fire a wildly mediocre HC.

What’s sad is Garrett has more division titles in the last 5 years than anyone not named Bill

We all complain about him but are we sure what they get will be better in terms of results?

I get that. But I’m just pointing out the counter to people
Do I want him gone, yes. But his record doesn’t support the firing. Remember Chan? I mean that was a disaster. He was fired for losing to Jake the Snake basically.

They are already like the Seahawks. The only difference between the two is Wilson.

Garrett is awful

I wish he would but jerry loves him. Jerry thinks of Jason as a son. His dad and Jerry were very close so unfortunately it’s going to take a lot to get him fired. We are stuck with him

The Seahawks fired Richard less than a year ago.

I care more about winning playoff games than winning a division that is very up and down.

In the nfl winning your division isn’t even as big of a deal as they act like it is.

There’s no way in hell Jerry is ever firing Garrett unless he absolutely has to. As long as the Cowboys can make the playoffs fairly often and stay relevant Garrett remains. He’s the perfect coach for Jerry.

Richard is probably already halfway out the door based on the defensive performance we saw last night. That was embarrassing.

Yeah it’s like promoting him to DC makes the defense worse.

I don’t think following the latest NFL trend and getting a young offensive minded QB Coach is the right answer.

Jason Garrett is the answer. He just needs more time. See Marvin Lewis.

NFL coaches don’t get fired after just winning a division and a playoff game.
