AD is more KG than Duncan, IMO.

so let me get this straight. one injury, in one single season, will affect team for 5 seasons. makes sense
To one of the stars? Yes. Money is tight and tied up long term. A secer injury to AD or Lebron (especially lebron) and the attraction to be there goes away for free agents.
Davis is very questionable on reliability as well.

i was merely responding to a post that had duncan in it. i honestly dont think there is a very good comparison for AD. the way he handles the ball for his size is glorious

And AD wishes he could play with his back to the basket like Duncan. That is the one area he never fully developed here, but if you give him the ball 15 feet in facing the basket he is absolutely lethal.

That’s fair. And I don’t mean to be singling you out, as most of my points have been directed more at the others. You have been the most rational Laker fan here.
I still think that you are glossing over the fact that any criticism of Pelinka is an indirect criticism of the ownership since they put him in that position. The people that thought Pelinka could lead this FO are going to be making the same decision to replace him. We haven’t even touched on the Klutch angle and influence, the huge magnifying glass and pressure that will be on this team, or the fact that Coaches and GMs are supposedly turning down the Lakers for “lesser” franchises (Williams and Griff).
But we’ll just have to see. This time next year, we’ll all have a good idea of where this will go. I’m actually excited to see AD and Lebron together. And as long as AD doesn’t just walk away next summer (which he won’t) then the Lakers can always recoup some assets by trading him if things go too far off the rails. It’s a rare win-win trade, Lakers are banking on on-court, and the Pelicans are betting on off-court. We’ll see which prevails

As a Laker fan I agree with you. It makes me nervous to see how we fair in the free agent market. Playing alongside AD/Lebron and in LA should be an easy sell but the front office has shown to be truly idiotic the past season.
The owners are absolutely atrocious.

the stats don't necessarily lie, but in context, AD was on a much worse team, requiring him to do more than KG and Duncan, on their squads...
on the flip side, it could be argued that would HURT his numbers, as opposing teams knew he was the only player capable of putting up numbers, and would guard him more, yet he still produced as described..
either way, the numbers speak for themselves, IMO...

Replace AD with Timmy and the Spurs might actually have a repeat

With how this Lakers team is being run, I'm curious how long it will be before AD gets "injured".

I mean...probably not. That's how life and the human body works
I’m saying you pick an age/amount of minutes on his legs and I’m telling you he’ll be better than what you think he’ll be and he’ll be better than anyone in the history of the game at that amount of minutes.
You’re saying he’s going to be washed up in 1 or 2 years. I’m telling you you’re wrong.
