The NBA is such a joke lol. It’s like shite goes on behind the scenes to make it to where everyone looks out for the Lakers. This makes ZERO sense.

Mavs fricked their franchise, but how the hell are Luka and Lebron gonna work together lol.

I saw an online theory that the Adelson family is pulling a Rachel Phelps/Stan Kroenke and actively sabotaging the Mavericks so they can move the team to Vegas. That’s the only way this trade makes sense.

Saw that on Reddit, and chances are the NBA would back it.

This is why I’ve basically given up on the nba and haven’t really watched a single full game on TV.

They are just blatant it’s retarded. Oh the leagues best player on the league’s premier team is 40 and about to retire?

Let’s send them a 25 year old MVP entering his prime for pretty much nothing.

So absurd.

Is Luka even healthy? When will his first game with the Lakers be?

Sorry, haven’t watched an NBA game all season.

Some players have magic healing power once traded to the “right” situation

Yep. I've seen this play out multiple times over the last decade and a half.

It's a joke already the way star players change teams and refuse to give effort for the teams they're on.

It's a league of little children in freak arse big bodies. Petty, small, whiny, and entitled.

My guess is the NBA wants to look like some European soccer leagues such as LA Liga, where it's Barcelona and Real Madrid and they dominate the league every year.

The NBA keeps taking its American audience for granted when trying to grow their game. They spent decades kowtowing to Chinese audiences and now they've turned their eyes towards Europe.

I will continue to not watch.

It’s really just not worth it. And the ratings reflect it. The nba is getting killed. No one is watching. And this happens. They think this will help. It doesn’t.

I don’t care about Luka or any of the teams involved.

This is just the NBA.

It just makes zero sense for teams to help out the Lakers. NBA is always on some shady shite.

My personal opinion is that I'm tired of every sport getting dominated by the will and whims of LA teams. It only highlights that professional sports are strictly entertainment and the people who run these leagues have no problem propping up certain teams at the expense of others.

I hope they keep trying to expand their WNBA franchises as well.

NBA culture is a sad joke and the league itself is becoming even worse.

I get the Mavs zeroed in on AD, but man there are a few teams who could have offered a better package asset wise. Pelicans are one of them.

Luka in New Orleans is not as lucrative as Luka in LA. Once you understand that you'll understand the last 20 years of NBA basketball.

Any chance the Lakers are now wishing Lebron demands a trade?

This is my second reaction (after "holy shite").

Luka and Lebron can't really co-exist and the only way they can get rid of Lebron is if he demands out.

The Mavs clearly think they're in win-now mode and AD is still one of the top 10 guys in the NBA. There aren't many guys in that tier of player available.

I imagine that will be seen as a severe miscalculation in the years to come.

Absolutely. They have no rim protection now. Their defense will be nonexistent most nights.

Yea I LOL’d when De’Arron Fox was asking for a trade and specifically said no to L.A. and then the very first thing you have is Steven A on First Take begging for him to go to the Lakers.

The NBA wonders why their ratings are shite, because they refuse to showcase their young talent in the league and they push all the big names to the big markets and frick the smaller ones.

Doing what they can to keep the Lakers relevant… but I gotta give JJ credit. I thought he would fail… But BRON is just a freak this year… if he can get Luka to get into and stay in shape they could be a fav for the title.

It’s acknowledged by every media member I’ve seen that this wasn’t a win now move and the lakers will be significantly worse this season without AD and Christie.

This was about the post LeBron era.
