Ok. But what makes them worth 2.3 billion in NBA value???
By being an NBA franchise… think what the expansion fee would be for a new team in an unknown market.

The amount of times this dude works in references to children's genitals has to put him on some watchlist.

Right
The Durant thing I get. Maybe buying low and late, but it’s Kevin Durant.
The Beal trade would be dumb even without the NTC and the second apron stuff, but with those caveats, it’s all time terrible
They’re fricked, and it brings me joy

Imagine saying shite like that - graphic, violent imagery about little kids - on a regular basis and thinking you’re the normal one
Dude should be investigated

That's a payout of 41 years with 1% inflation per year.

Did new ownership not put finger into wind before buying?
This product, this NBA Bear market, this increasing clown show is what you want to invest Billions in? Somebodies holding onto the past too tight.

(unlike Balmer who purchased the Clippers for $2 B when Forbes valued them at $700 M[But the Clippers are worth over $4B now so good investment])
The Clippers were undervalued because Donald Sterling was a terrible owner. He had a team in a giant TV market and didn't want to spend any money on players. (I remember when LeBron was getting ready for The Decision, Bill Simmons or someone like him said that the Clippers should offer him a giant contract because it would increase the value of the team big time)
Now that they have a rich owner, who pays players and built a new arena, the value of the team shot through the roof.

I have to imagine the Pelicans are now worth at least $1.5 Billion...but it is insane to me to think that the Celtics were purchased for more than the Redskins. I never thought a big market NFL team would be worth less than any NBA team.
The Celtics are the premier NBA franchise and they’re coming off of a Championship. It’s a “sell high” moment for the organization.

Can’t wait to see what kind of “new owner syndrome” moves this guy makes Ishbia or whatever his name is has basically ruined the Suns for the next 5 years minimum
The Cs will have to dump one of Jrue Holiday, Porzingis, or Jaylen Brown this summer. The new second apron rule cripples team financially with tax penalties and other penalties.
My guess is Jrue Holiday won’t be a Celtic this time next year to get under the second apron.
