Damn, Brian Kelly would have made the 24 team playoff a couple times

I know I do not support or go to a school like OSU or Bama that expects to be in every year, but part of the charm of getting into the old 4 team and now 12 team is that it meant something.

Not crapping on TCU or ASU, but they got in and it made lifetime experiences for their fans that more special.

As a VT fan, I want to win the ACC or be damn close and then get invited to the playoffs as being one of the best teams, not because we finished 4th and automatically get in.

But I know ....$$$$$

There are 129 teams in FCS and 24 teams make the playoffs. That's less than 20 percent making the playoffs. FBS has 136 teams so less than 20 percent would make the playoffs.

You'll have to modify the calendar as CFB should end on Dec 31st or Jan 1st. Do conference championship games go away? Kinda pointless if both them just go to the playoffs.

Umm. It’s 17.6% of teams would make it in a 24 team playoff.

16 is the absolute max and that’s too many. Make it 8, make the regular season mean something. 4 was too little.

i am fine with 24

moving the playoff up so getting a bye is a benefit and making the first 3 rounds on campus will keep the regular season relevant

They want as many teams as possible because then the bowl sponsors just take over a playoff game
How would any of these “bowl games” see even 20k people show up? The orange bowl quarterfinal crowd already seemed half or 3/4 full
