We all knew as soon as Russell got the huge contract they would have to cut good players due to the salary cap. And here they are......

He played for 3 in a row just like Saban just did.

Might not like it but it's a fact.

JC people to stop being petty.

If Carroll wins the NFC West 7 years in a row, is that a dynasty? Because that will equal what he did in college. Saban has never even done that.

Football fans have this, win it all or you suck mentality. It's pathetic. There is greatness in consistency. Have the Pats won it every year since 2001??????

Yup that 03 USC team was just average. They are so lucky they didn't have to play lsu that year and their juggernaut offense led by Matt mauck

USC was a great team, LSU was just better.

Their time at the top of the league went exactly as expected.

They hit it big time on several guys in the draft. They were great for 2-3 years until it was time to start paying guys coming off their rookie contracts.

They won the superbowl, got close a second time, and they likely won't see it for awhile because they're going to continue to be an above average team in the NFL meaning they won't be getting to the SB, and they also won't have good draft position.

This kind of shite happens all the time, unless you're the patriots.

I think it dates back to the AP polls giving an average USC team a #1 ranking. It was obvious that the AP only did this because they were at odds with the new BCS and wanted a controversy.

Bulldinky. Show me one time when the AP #1 team won its bowl game convincingly against a top five opponent and dropped from the #1 spot. And how was the AP at odds with the BCS? They had nothing whatsoever to do with the BCS.

By the way, the BCS appeared to add to any controversy when they called "2003...split national champion...a split decision". Yes, the really called it that.

This thread and most of the posts in it are idiotic. Losing Earl Thomas completely changes their defense. Their entire scheme is based around him. They weren't going to overcome the loss of both he and Tyler Lockett. They were one of the better teams in the NFL when both of those guys were playing. Maybe not the best, and they clearly have areas they need to improve, but singing their demise on here is dumb... Although idiocy is par for the course on this site

I mean I don't really feel like it was Wilson's fault. He has a pretty bad on line and he was forced to try and make plays on his own to keep up with falcons offense. I also don't think Seattle's wrs are anything to write home about as a group. Seems like most of the big plays they make are made because of Wilson extending plays with his legs and allowing them to get seoeration.
