That is The Athletic.

I like the advanced stats/metrics in near real time. Baseball does that already with exit velocity, launch angles, speed, etc.

Be cool to see that type of stuff for NHL. Exit velo on a massive slapper, redirect angle, skater speed on a breakaway, etc.

Easier to create stats like zone time, passing percentages, etc.

It would be very cool.

3 goals in 1:12 between the Canes and the Sabres.

Not a good game to take the under.

I believe soccer has to help determine goals.

I remember how much many hated the old FOX glow puck in the ‘90s. FOX would put a graphic on the screen how hard a slap shot was. I’d prefer the TV networks put some alternate feed online, and let those who want the traditional telecast still be able to watch the game in it’s pure form. I don’t need 100 annoying camera angles like the NFL does. I hate how NBC and FOX always runs a camera guy into the end zone to zoom in on someone every time they score. Or the stupid dark green part of the field when X team is close to the red zone. A lot of that crap is overkill, and doesn’t improve the quality of the telecast.

WAR is an interesting stat, but I just don’t care about the rest of the MLB metrics.

Soccer has a few types of goalline technology, but I have no idea how it works.

It's high speed camera based similar to tennis, or uses magnetic field sensors but nothing is embedded in the ball.

Maddening franchise.

Canes are on their way to a nice win vs Nashville. Currently beating the shite out of the Peds, 5 to 1.

Aves really are tanking lately and could use a win tonight vs Toronto. Pulling for Bednar to make it in Colorado.

ducks have lost 11 in a row and are still in 4th place in pacific.

woof

isles beat TB 5-1 yesterday
Calgary 7-1'd the yotes. Arizona paid mike smith (Calgary G) 40k for that effort

Colorado and Minnesota are the stars main competition at this point so ill always root for them to lose. especially Minnesota.

Nice shortie goal by Byron of the Habs. Bruins wasting opportunities and it's biting them.

Early goal fest in Edmonton. 3-1 Oilers barely 5 minutes in.

Blues are such a joke

They will win enough games to be in playoff battle, piss away that 1st rounder, let guys leave as free agents, and then be in a worst spot going forward.

Guys who have 1 year left are no resigning, they will go else where, the lockeroom is hot garbage, with it being split down the middle and other guys doing their own thing.

Should of tanked, dealt guys for top prospects+picks, and rebuild with players still in place. Instead, because Stillman is a millionaire, instead of a billionaire, he is forced to go all out for a playoff spot, and if it doesnt happen, they have no 1st rounder, and guys leaving on the free.

I do know one thing, i will die before Blues ever win a cup. It is a lock.

Woah, chill.

The blues losing in the first round (or early) has nothing to do with this roster, it’s just what we do.

This team looks like they’re having fun for the first time since the 2nd week of the season. I hate tanking, just keep winning.
