Surely the DA’s office will exercise their prosecutorial discretion and drop these charges.
Lol
Lmao
They will use their prosecutorial discretion to charge him with more crimes.
Prosecutors are not real people

Every "back the blue" poster should look at this and think about how fricked average Joe would be instead of the top golfer in the world.
Cops and prosecutors are psychotic as a rule

It’s clear now that they have decided to hope and pray that Scheffler is the type of gentleman that simply apologizes…. I Hope and Pray that Scheffler is the type of Gentleman that is willing to not bow down to known and documented corrupt police force giving them cover to drop the charges
The mere fact that they already announced the officers discipline is “counseling” shows how little this department respects the policies they put in place because they’ve been found to be worthy of being under federal consent decree.

After seeing the video today, those cops can eat a bag of dicks

Don’t forget. This cop got in an ambulance and went to the hospital for injuries. $100 says ole baw has a civil suit coming against Scottie no matter what.

The arresting officer is from Louisiana and was on NOPD before joining LMPD.
So why did he leave New Orleans ?

He is going to sue the shite out of them. Sorry Louisville residents, youre going to pay for it, and this POS will still be on the force because of Qualified immunity!
Sorry Bootlicks, but police reform is needed in a lot of ways. The good ones SHOULD be pushing for it, but they are complicit

So I guess they don't want the PGA to ever return to Louisville?

With a take like this you are the stupidest poster on this board. Holy hell.

Second-degree assault of a police officer, a felony
His defense attorney is going to get this dropped so easily.
The DA's best bet is to offer a deal where he pays a fine for a traffic violation.

Why would Scottie agree to this though?

Nobody says otherwise. The problem is that the cases the left cite as proof that it needs reform are horse shite. Michael Brown, George Floyd, Brianna Taylor were all cases in which they highlighted that didn’t help their argument.

Please, I'm begging you... don't.
But... given how utterly idiotic and stupid his take on Scottie Scheffler was... it doesn't take much imagination to come up with what shape he thinks the earth his.

His attorney has stated multiple times that they are not interested in a settlement. He once again commented on the case yesterday.
quote:
"Scottie Scheffler didn’t do anything wrong," Romines said. "We’re not interested in settling the case. We will either try it, or it will be dismissed. It’s very simple. All the evidence that continues to come out just continues to support what Scottie said all along.
I believe he’s signaling for Louisville to drop the case, and they will walk away quietly, but they won’t be issuing an apology or pleading down to even something as minor as a traffic fine.
However, they are prepared to play this out all the way to the end if necessary. I think he’s also signaling that the end will include more than simply a criminal trial.
If it goes that far, then they are fully invested, and they will go on the offensive. Civil suits and a public relations offensive could turn this into another black eye for Louisville and their police. His attorney is playing nice right now, but he’s going to eventually flip to attack mode if this drags out.

if he was another color you wouldn’t even know about this story. that is unless he got violent with the officer and got killed. but you knew that

Judging by the scores that were shot in that tourney, I bet it'll be a long time either way.
