hey go back to big12, they have a chance, in B1G, no chance.

They are basically another Kansas right now.

Nebraska was 1-9 against Texas and not much better against OU. They left thinking they could beat up the big 10 and make more $ as a bonus.

Nebraska routinely one of, if not the, top recruiting classes in the West. It’s not a talent issue, it’s all on the coaches. And not one coach has given me any reason to believe they should be back next year

I think it's more player identification and development.

Correct. Every year I see a handful of freshmen lineman come into games and think to myself "wow, this guy is going to be really good in a few years". 4 years later, he is the exact same caliber player. They get no progression, especially on the lines. They have done decent with skill players, but line issues have been the constant their entire time in the B1G

and a few of you retards on here prolly still want the Nubbers in the SEC.

Nebraska and Colorado in the SEC would be fine. Lose the divisions and put them both in a pod with Mizzou and Arkansas. Give everyone 2 permanent rivals outside their pod and go.

Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, Texas A&M

Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss State

Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Vanderbilt

Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky

This wouldn't happen. A&M and LSU would be guaranteed pod winners 9/10 years the way things have been going overall. Hell, LSU might would even win that pod this year as bad as they suck. Plus you would get major pushback from the pod with 3 Big 6 teams even though Tennessee is about like Nebraska now

Not much dip at UCF since he left either. Pelini 9 wins sound pretty good rn I bet

How much of that has to do with the fact that you’ve had exactly one HC out of your last four who hasn’t been fired before the end of their 3rd year?

And you think getting rid of Frost after his third season is a winning strategy?

Riley is the only coach that was not given at least a 4th season. And his firing was probably accelerated when it was clear the staff was going thru the motions that final year on the practice field and stadium. But I see your point.

That was the reason Scott got an extension after his first year. It's putting a lot of trust in him to get the job done, but it signals to fans and recruits that Scott will have time to build the program back up. It hasn't gone according to plan so far, but Frost has until at least the end of next season, more likely 2022 to right the ship

I'm not one of the posters who believes Nebraska can never be elite again, but Illinois was blasting y'all in the trenches today. Illinois. That's really bad.

Anyone with a pulse has blasted us in the trenches for the past 8 years. We just had better pieces around to compensate more previous years. Outside of a few really overmatched Rutgers or Illinois quads, I can't remember a B1G game where Nebraska dominated the game and both LOS. There's no reason to believe they can't develop elite lines, but whatever Riley and Frost have been doing so far ain't working.

People blasted Taylor Martinez but I remember him running for his life.

Nebraska hasn't been good on the O-line for two decades.

Which used to be their bread and butter. You would think a new coach, his first priority would be to establish a run game despite the modern proliferation of offense.

No offense but the farmboy steroid program needs a resurgence if Nebraska isn't going to get Southern talent on the lines.

I respect the hell out of Taylor Martinez. He was a essentially a track star that was forced into playing QB and played injured most of his career due to an inept line.

The O-line struggles are mind boggling. I still think it all goes back to coaching and conditioning. There is no excuse for the line to be as bad as they have been, playing against teams that recruit the same blueprint.

NU no longer has an identity. Also I'm not saying NU's past means nothing but just as with FSU, Miami, Penn St, Michigan, etc....every year that goes by it means less and has less pull for recruits.

Macro, 100% yes. Micro, disagree. That’s the problem. We don’t have the players to run Frost’s cute offense he ran successfully at UCF.

Frost had his best success when the power run game with Ozigbo was used. The defense was dogshit, but the offense was pretty good. We have completely abandoned the RB game, don’t have talented WRs outside of Robinson, and now 60% of our plays end up with QBs scrambling. That works for maybe a quarter before opposing defenses settle in.

I'll never forget sitting in an emptied out Memorial Stadium watching a 38-9 blowout loss to KSU in 2003 thinking this is what rock bottom feels like...

The arse whopping KU gave them in 2007 was worst i think I ever would've seen Nebraska football. It could've been worse that game too.
