Scott Frost. I’m very surprised
Neb loses 41-23 to Illinois

Not much progress since he was hired

As a top25 program it is

They go back to big12, they have a chance, in B1G, no chance.

I called this the day they left, and they continue to prove me correct. Paying ur coach 5 million to lose to Lovie Smith is not good

They should have stayed in the big12.

Why can't NU compete for the west?

When I don't care much sometimes I enjoy these guys blowing off their lower tier school as soon as they can possibly get out of there and falling flat.

Herman

Wisconsin and Iowa are at least established contenders in that division. NW can have solid teams under Pat F.

Never is a long time but they'll never be a powerhouse again. They can eventually find the right coach and be a perennial top 20-30 type team like Iowa.

Yeah, so if those teams can do it, there's no reason NU can't get there.

They have to recruit a lot of their talent out of state.

in Big12, they had Tejas, and a connection to California, and poaching Missouri for their top talent.

In B1G, they cant open the doors to Ohio, Penn, etc for recruiting top talent, and Tejas for them, they are a down the chain option for kids.

re: Scott Frost. I’m very surprised
Nebraska routinely one of, if not the, top recruiting classes in the West. It’s not a talent issue, it’s all on the coaches. And not one coach has given me any reason to believe they should be back next year

re: Scott Frost. I’m very surprised
Small sample size. The guy was only a head coach for 2 years before he was hired at Nebraska. His great UCF season could have just been beginner's luck and he's really a shitty coach.

re: Scott Frost. I’m very surprised
A coach at Nebraska has to be able to identify and develop talent. Frost might have his strengths as a coach, but program building is not one of them.
