Auburn's ultimate troll job, losing to UCF to ensure they won the national title after beating both UGA and Bama the same year preventing the winner of their sloppy seconds game from having any legit claim.

Lies, and don't give me any b.s. that he wasn't set up to succeed. NU was willing to go the whole way to get a winning program - you just weren't up for what the job required.

The post I replied to was implying Frost is saying that about current day UCF. Which is disingenuous AF

Lol. You saying he “couldn’t win one” while he was there is just absolutely moronic

So tell us again the reasons why he couldn’t win one back then. Just so we’re straight on what you’re claiming.

Eh, it's not necessarily a lie.

The media had anointed him the next coaching superstar after one great season as a HC, and he was being welcomed home to his alma mater as a savior. And yes, Nebraska was willing to do anything for him to win, which only ramped up expectations.

That's a shite ton of pressure for someone with 2 seasons of HC experience. Maybe Frost realized he wasn't ready for that. But what was he supposed to do, say no and potentially shut that door forever?

I’m confused. I’m asking for clarification.

What were the reasons?

Sounds like sour grapes. He dropped UCF like a hot potato at their highest point for a bigger paycheck and a huge amount of media and fan adulation.

Nebraska is a tough job and he did poorly.

Easy to say you regret it now.

Not sure if this is serious but isn't that exactly what Kelly said about ND? And ND has a hell of a lot better shot than UCF

The difference is that Frost is back at UCF while Kelly is still with LSU.

Is UCF still claiming they won a national championship?

“It is a great honor and privilege to have the opportunity to return to Nebraska and to lead the Husker football program,” Frost said. “I have been fortunate to be at a wonderful school the last two years, but Nebraska is a special place with a storied tradition and a fan base which is second to none. I am truly humbled to be here. The state of Nebraska and the Husker program mean a great deal to me. This is home.”

Maybe he would have been more successful if he had spent more time focusing on coaching and recruiting instead of alcohol and coeds.

This is a weird thing for a HC to say

It was Kelly that was saying he couldn't win at Notre Dame. Plus Freeman just proved he could get to the playoffs and almost won a championship. Right now Notre Dame has a lot better chance to win a championship than LSU. Why is that so?

UCF is a commuter school. Everyone in the Tampa/Orlando area call it 13th grade

Joe Burrow wanted to transfer to Nebraska in 2018. That where his dad and his brothers played. Scott Frost showed no interest saying that he wan't better than any of the QB's on the roster.
