schedule change domino effect

Im sure this has been brought up before, but I searched and couldnt find anything else on it....
So say all of these schools change conferences, what effect will that have on next year's football schedules? Will the schools play the schedule they have right now, or will everything get redone?

I could be wrong, but doesn't this all go in to affect 2011. Thought I heard that.

I figured it would be something like that, if not, it would be a huge mess for everyone

When Boise was being rumored to the MWC, it said they had to join by July1 to play football in the MWC in 2011, so I figure it will be something like that.
