I will say that SEC Now and SEC Final, are some of ESPN's finest work..SEC Network regulars are some of my favorite personalities in sports

Is CBS taking the BIG Noon kickoff or is that staying with FOX? If all they got was a bunch of Iowa/Nebraska type games they wasted money.

I don’t really understand the hate CBS has always got. It’s my favorite channel to watch a college football game on. Has the feeling of a NFL type of game when games are on CBS. ESPN and the rest of them seems like a kids game is on or something. CBS seems more professional and better quality.

And I’ll just go ahead and say it, but seems like most of the hate CBS gets, is really directed at Gary, bc LSU fans think he roots for Bama or something lol. I don’t think he’s biased at all. LSU fans just think people are only allowed to be biased towards LSU, and when they aren’t, it’s because he wants the other team to win.

Will miss CBS
Won’t miss Daniels
The trade off is worth it to me, he ruins every broadcast with his open bias.

NBC has the best college football coverage out of all the major networks. I wish the SEC got the deal the Big 10 got to have games on primetime with them.

The Big10 games NBC got this year were all dogs. Not sure how the selection order goes in the new BIG deal but the Young Eagle and Blackledge are easily the best announcing duo right now

Only because it is commercial free. Watching sports on TV for the last 20 years is like taking a drill and driving a bit into your retinas.

Non stop commercials and some idiot dissecting every fricking play for 4 hours makes me want to smash my head in a car door.

As someone who has had the displeasure of having to watch my team on CBS, thank god.

CBS production quality is so much greater than the other networks. ESPN and especially Fox look like borderline amateurs in contrast. Fox has this weird thing where it looks like you’re watching a game from behind a glass wall. ESPN has horrible mic placement and if it’s not commercials theyll cut to some cringe studio shite. NBC is alright and has decent picture quality. CBS gets the sounds of the band, the sights of the stadium and surrounding scenery, and of course the iconic theme music. Espn can at least turn it on when they need to. The broadcast of 2022 LSU-bama was very well done and fowler/herbie are good for cfb. But I’ll miss cbs

People just hate it because muh commercials and Gary sucking bama’s dick

what program is going to be Gary's slobbering man-crush/daddy now that he can't lobby for Bama?
I personally can’t wait for the moment he sucks Bama off during an Illinois vs Nebraska game or similar

He will find a way

The end of an era. I remember watching the first game when CBS got rights back in 1996. Manning led Tennessee to a win over UCLA.

If CBS would just replace Gary, and move the marquee game to 6:30, CBS would be perfect, but they didn’t and SEC AD’s want night games.

That had nothing to do with it. They had the cushiest financial deal in college football and didn't want to pay what a new deal would be worth when their contract was due to expire

They lowballed the hell out of their offer.

Now they get to pay more to broadcast Purdue vs UCLA or whatever third tier B10 game Fox leaves as leftovers.

He gushes over all good teams.

UF under Meyer.
Bama under Saban.
UGA under Kirby.

Go back and listen to his calls during the Tebow era.

The man went to Purdue, he doesn't care about Bama.

He's called Bama games during a historic 15 year run and has been reasonably complimentary of them for it, so all the rivals and casuals who just tune in to watch Bama lose come after him for saying things that are true that they don't like.

I take it a few of the complainers haven’t watched their team on ABC recently. Georgia was on ABC vs GT and it was absolutely ridiculous with not just the amount of commercials but the timing of them.

This is the damn truth. There was one point where they had a full cycle of commercials after a touchdown, came back for the kickoff, which was a touch back and immediately had another full round of commercials.

Wasn't the Red River Shootout on ABC?

Because that frickin' awesome fast-paced game had 1 commercial break in the entire 1st quarter, despite multiple TDs, kickoffs and two long on field injuries where they never even left for a commercial break.

It was glaring how much better and enjoyable CFB can be without CBS.

People are just used to that bloated, long-winded, advertising whore of a mess...CFB doesn't have to be that way...you're entire day doesn't have to be shot just to watch one game.

ESPN does blow outside their main game as mentioned. Some games, its like they're broadcasting with two cameras on a tripod..and you actually miss action on the field because the camera hasn't panned.

Fox is keeping Big Noon. CBS will have a 2:30 game and NBC will have a night game. Not a bad line-up for the expanded big ten. Their top three games on free over the air television. Most weekends one SEC game will be free and over the air which I think is a disadvantage. If I'm living in Boston or New York or Miami or San Francisco or Boise, I can watch the three big ten games for free.

CBS is the absolute worst network for sports

They are light years better than ESPN/ABC and their Disney ad scroll bar taking up 20% of the screen, requiring them to dumb down the signal and air a lesser quality picture.

Get ready for RGIII. I would take Daniels over him any day of the week. It seems like CBS overspent for the BIG 10 (+8). I believe they are paying more and not getting the 1st pick of games.
