TT on the other hand appears to have unlimited funds and will be a force with the right coach.

This is such a meaningless statement given where we are in college football. We just saw INDIANA win a national championship. Any team can be a force with the right funding and head coach.

The problem is there are very few "right coaches" out there.

OK, I'll be the one to point it out.

Both sides of this argument can be true at the same time.

Yes, TT plays a weak AF schedule in a weak AF conference. Schedule somebody that matters FFS. If Campbell is willing to shell out the cash to play Texas in week 0 then shell out the cash to play at top 20 team if Texas won't bite (which they won't)

And, Texas is arrogant as frick. They've won 4 championships in over 100 years. That's hardly being a dominant program. They were dominant in the Darrell Royal years and had a few good years in the late 2000s. They certainly do not have the trophy case to match their arrogance.

I don’t have a dog in this fight, and I don’t really like Texas. But this is an easy challenge to throw out knowing it’s impossible to move these games in 4 months time under regular circumstances. Texas Tech knows it’s unrealistic and won’t happen but they pick up free PR points.

Also notice Tech didn’t offer to play in Austin for this game.

Truly one of the dumbest things I’ve seen pick up actual PR points among people.

“Hey Texas, cancel a home game to come play us on the road the week before you play Ohio State, because you said our schedule was easy (which is true).”

Sark obviously shouldn’t have said it, and is getting a little cocky for someone who has never even made a National Championship, but Tech fans are making a straw man argument here.

Many fanboy media people are not real bright and/or have an agenda to push. Common sense and logic don’t matter to them.

By offering to pay in order to play.

Texas should step up, or shut up.

As much as I hate to side with UT here, TT is in no position to clap back here. They played the ~60th rank schedule and got absolutely meat hammered by the first elite team they played. Meanwhile UT went to OSU when they could have easily scheduled a lesser team which would have punched their ticket to the playoff.
