So McQueary said in his email that he didn't turn and run when he saw Sandusky abusing the boy in shower, and that he did the right thing... Yet he wasn't too uncomfortable with Sandusky hanging around Penn St. for many years after that

I have a lot of questions about this. If McQueary did the right thing, then why is this kid's identity still unknown. Even if he didn't turn and run and even stopped the rape, did he then leave the kid in the care of Sandusky? Did he not make sure the kid was OK, and get him some attention (medical, or otherwise)?

Is there a transcript available yet? I thought his biggest flub was when he said something about all of the hundreds of kids that he had helped without any sexual thoughts/activity. It really sounded like he was saying, "Yeah, there were only a couple that I actually fooled around with"

At one point, about seven minutes into the interview and after Costas asked Sandusky about the 40-count indictment he faces for sexually abusing boys over a 15-year period, and Sandusky replies that he is innocent of those charges, Costas asks Sandusky if he fits the classic MO of a pedophile.

Sandusky's reply at the 19:01:01:00 mark of the interview is perhaps the most damning of the entire session:

"Well -- you might think that," Sandusky said. "I don't know. (LAUGHS) In terms of -- my relationship with so many, many young people. I would -- I would guess that there are many young people who would come forward. Many more young people who would come forward and say that my methods and -- and what I had done for them made a very positive impact on their life. And I didn't go around seeking out every young person for sexual needs that I've helped. There are many that I didn't have -- I hardly had any contact with who I have helped in many, many ways."

Smooth answer, Jerry.

Reports that an additional 20 people who were abused from Sandusky have come forward since the story broke.

Also there is much more to the Paterno-Sandusky story. Sandusky hated Paterno yet when he was up for head coaching positions he "mysteriously" withdrew his name for those positions to stay at Penn St. Some are suggesting that not only did Paterno know about Sandusky but used this information to keep Sandusky as his DC at Penn St. Also word that McQueary had a gun against his head to keep from going to the authorities.

Berry interestink...

I figured that Sandusky stuck around because he wanted to be near his network of kids in Second Mile. This would be a new wrinkle to the story, ESPECIALLY as far as JoePa's culpability.

I don't want to read the entire board for the last couple days and the search function sucks now

but I heard Sandusky's lawyer is a creep too...apparently got a 16 year old pregnant when he was in his 40s

According to her mom, he represented the 16 year old in an emancipation proceeding while they were having a relationship and she was pregnant and then married her around the birth of their second child. Wife, now estranged, claimed the information provided by her mom is incorrect.

It's amazing how one person can bring so much shame to a university and athletic program whose players weren't involved at all. The lesson for all universities is the damage one person can do to an entire institution and state for that matter.

Sandusky wasn't the only person bringing shame.

The coaches and administration who covered up for him brought their own set of shame to the university.

Well, I didn't rape or sell all of the kids to other alumni. As if that makes it that much better.
