You're too knowledgeable to think this way.

I get what you're saying, but you know that a running game can make a defense easier to attack from the qbs prospective .

Hes one injury away from being traded for a 2022 late 1st . If he was on the bench in preseason even.

those scouts were clearly wrong, 3 QBs will go in the top 10 of the draft, and the Jets got a 2nd rounder. If he was worth that value, the Jets would have gotten a 1st from someone.

The scouts likely mean based on his original draft prospect grade compared to those of this group. But bad habits learned and losing most of the rookie contract are why his value has diminished

I think most knew what he meant with the post. Yes that's correct and am assuming he knew that as well.

It’s not really going to make that big of a difference when you’re trying to figure out if this guy can be an elite or top end player at the position.

Bradford is pretty much the only modern example of this and he was much more established at that point than Darnold. And again that trade was a disaster it would take a perfect storm to have his value increase after the draft.

Thats not how it works.

Are you arguing that Lance/Fields are more valuable than Lawrence because Trevor will cost 1 first rounder and the one thats picked at 3 will cost 3 first rounders?

The fricking media loves to ride Darnolds dick. Dude is average at best

They’ve rode a lot of USC dick since 2002. They’re not any better at sports than they are at politics. Wish I could suck so much at my job and still have one. Lot of Dim’s keep them in business apparently.

I think you’re overthinking what he said.

Joe Brady's going to have Darnold looking like Burrow.

I remember watching Darnold throw picks left and right and letting an average Texas team take USC to OT at the coliseum... and wondering why the hype machine had latched on to him so hard.

That was one of the most fun games I’ve ever been to. Sam Darnold threw a 56 yd TD pass to end the 1st half with no time left on the clock. It looked like Texas might win it in 2OT but SC forced a fumble from Sam Ehlinger and ended up kicking the game winning FG with a walk-on kicker. Good times.

Not me.

The Panthers did exactly the opposite of what they needed to do.

There are hole all over their roster. They need more picks, not fewer.

They should have traded a high pick or two for several mid-round picks. They need more weapons for Teddy to throw to and help on both lines. A lockdown corner would be nice as well as a good cover safety.

Can anyone honestly say Darnold is better than Teddy?

How fricked up is it that, arguably, the best post-Palmer QB from there is Matt Cassel, the guy who couldn't even start there?

Leinart, Dirty Sanchez, and Darnold have all shite the bed.

When was the last time a QB with 3 years of starting experience (and was average/below average) was traded and turned out to be great?
Brees even though he wasn't traded...
Alex Smith from San Francisco to Kansas City?

"Average / below average" DQs Carson Palmer (Raiders to Cardinals) and Kurt Warner, with the latter being a FA when he signed with the Cards and regained his form.

It's just very rare to see a change of scenery fix a QB these days.
