Watching Carolina go into the Dome and get the win today I’m reminded how bad the Saints HFA is. It’s hilarious when Saints fans talk about the Giants in 2011 having no shot going into the Dome to win in a hypothetical NFCCG yet they pissed down their leg against the Rams, Vikings, and Bucs at home in back to back to back years

Some of their biggest games in franchise history are at home and they’re all Ls. Bounty gate is all that franchise has.

You're talking a decade ago. When that team was elite.

Revisionist history is hilarious because even the giants players said they didn't want to go to the dome and sf was the preferred match even though sf was a higher seed...

Any other 11 year old hypotheticals for a team you hate on your mind this Sunday afternoon?

I’m not even a Saints fan but when the team is good it’s one of the better environments I’ve seen at the NFL level. Kansas City is the the only one better, though I’ve never been to a Seahawks game.

Did you not read the last part of my OP? Brees last three playoff losses were all at home. The Rams and their inexperience (per this board they also have no fans), a mediocre Vikings team, and 50 year old Brady all went into New Orleans and robbed the Saints. Destroya’d the end of the Brees era.

Kind of a weirdly specific thread

Prior to the NOLA no call the Payton/Brees Saints were undefeated in home playoff games. The trolls at the time said they only got to the SB because it was in the dome. But yes, let’s count games from 2019-20 with a clearly washed up Brees (one without a crowd) is the exact same as 2011

Using a COVID game with a couple thousand fans in attendance as an example of poor home field advantage

The Rams didn’t rob the Saints, incompetent officials did.

Brees was clearly not the same in 2019, 2020 was without fans, who knows if it’s different, probably not and I’m pretty sure Brady was good in other playoff games that year and the year after

I will say the Pels atmosphere is top notch. Nawlins is becoming a great basketball town. Once C on Z converts over and puts his Lebron jersey in the closet y’all will have made it big.

Back then it was legit.

Just look at the Saints home record from 2009 through 2013.

Also, not an outlandish claim, as the Saints crushed the Giants at home, 49-24 in November 2011.

How much of a difference would two months have made?

You realize it's not overrated when they are actually good right. Same goes for LSU.
