They must have had the pyro and they had no choice but to set it off. The integrity of the explosive material probably can't be trusted to be left dormant in outdoor conditions for too long for risk that they wouldn't work later?

How pathetic is it that a P4 team planned a massive postgame fireworks show to celebrate after a game vs an FCS team that came in on a 16 game losing streak?
