Hell WVU been doing that for many years since moving to the Big 12 and they aren't t having those money issues.

If enough programs end up being more like Rutgers and less like West Virginia, we might see large scale changes for non revenue sports.
Might have those switch to compact regional conferences and football/basketball use superconferences.
Could also drop to CFB, MBB, and just enough sports to satisfy Title IX, but that would allow a lot more teams to be FBS and the existing FBS schools might be reluctant to open the floodgates.

Apparently they need a good business school. In fairness to Rutgers, student fees are paying for athletics at most universities including Power 4. You have to make a lot from Football and Basketball to support all other sports.

Same thing is happening at pretty much every other university, hell the entire state of Louisiana is subsidizing LSU athletics at this point
