Anything the Steelers pay him is subtracted from the $39 million the Broncos owe him so no reason for the Steelers to pay anything more than the minimum.

I was listening to t'Athletic Free Agency show last night (it's from a week or so ago) and they made a great case that Russell Wilson and Arthur Smith are a match made in shite. Smith wants his QBs to throw over the middle and Russ refuses to do so

I don’t think it’s subtracted like a coaching salary would be. He just is already making 38 mil GTD from the broncos and then getting the minimum from the Steelers
