Clhstrojans have you ever seen a year like this in 7-5A? Have a forfiet and a ton of teams beating each other up. Im assuming Dhan still has it locked up but this year just seems wild to me

Nah it's played out pretty much as expected. Other than the SL forfeit win and CL upsetting Hahnville. I certainly didn't think we'd beat Hahnville. They should have beat Rummel earlier in the year and I know how good Rummel is because we scrimmaged them before the season.

You want to see a crazy district that 6-5A Northshore district is nutts.

Man good to know there's some beef coming up. What position he's playing right now?

He played 2 years of Bantam and didn't play anything this year. He played o-line but did better when the ciach had him in D-Line

The district is pretty competitive this year. Thibodaux could easily be 8-1. They've lost some nail biters.

Why should I be bitter? Who's higher ranked? I do notice your panties in a wad because Dtown has been left out of any meaningful rivalry in the Parish. It's okay, you're more SBR/St Gabriel anyway. Hey, how many is Hunchback Bennie getting from Istrouma? I know they've been lining up addresses...

Not really a week 9 subject but I'll post it here anyway...

The playoff rules for Select Division 1 are horrible.

First, you have the play-in games for 7 through 10. There's not a huge talent gap between 7 and 10 (or really 1-10) so 10 upsetting 7 would not be huge. If that happens, as I understand it, 1 would have to travel to play the 10 seed next week. What's the point of working to earn the 1 seed if you have to travel for your first playoff game? If they are going to stick with this format, these schools nee to play all neutral site games in some place like Lafayette.

Proposal 18 is simply a cluster. It wasn't researched, wasn't thought out, etc. Public school principals voted on it without weighing the consequences. The LHSAA isn't exactly run by the brightest people in HS sports.

Anyway, the selects should petition the LHSAA to allow higher seeds to stay home like the NFL does until the Championship game.

I feel like if they're only going for the brightest in high school sports, it's never going to get much better than it is now.

There aren't too many lawyers cum high school coaches around.

so let me get this straight. even though HC has the better team, is more highly ranked, has a better record, you are going to go with Rummel because they came back to win a game 10 years ago? give me a break

Went to the game. The score could have been much worse. HC crossed midfield once and turned it over on downs inside the 10. Rummel turned it over on downs twice inside the HC 5 yd line, plus had a FG blocked.

one more thing... was there an incident at the West St. Mary-Erath game last night? I saw it on another site and it could get really bad for West St. Mary...
