Yenni seats about 10K, u can prob squeeze in another 1500 around there.

i remember the paper saying back in my day that the crowd was upward of 12K during big games

Probably could be alot more if the Raider Band didn't take up 1/4th of the home side.

I wouldn't exactly say Rummel has any homefield advantage playing at yenni.

Bottom line is it's Rummel's home field. Advantage or no advantage is besides the point.

yeah i used to hate that,

the stadium isnt big enough for them to bring that many band members to the game.

u could prob cut it in half and still be loud enough

They ought to put bleachers in the back of the endzones for the bands in games like this.

08 here

HC is more traditional, not as intense, especially the past few years. Granted Katrina had alot to do with that.

Could easily have 15,000-20,000 ppl. Whereas yenni is freaking tiny and might have seating for 6-7k tops.

yenni is the better atmosphere...

however, it's dumb to have jesuit @ rummel, rayville @ holy cross, and west monroe @ st. aug on the same night...

i thought the catholic league principals worked together better than that

I'll just listen to the PA announcer from my house. I live a few blocks away from Yenni, across the canal.

Jesuit '99 here. Jesuit-Rummel is definitely a competitive rivalry.

the biggest crowd i was ever a part of for a HS game was in the chris markey era when we actually beat rummel in tad gormley

i dont remember how we won that game but i remember some wierd shite happened

maybe we missed a FG but a penalty got us a rekick and we made it to go to OT

and one of our guys fumbled it into the endzone in OT and we jumped on it in the endzone

maybe im just imagining how it went down, but i know it was weird

That's exactly how it went down. I believe it was Nick Child that roughed the kicker.

Then Jesuit had to blow the district championship against us after that win.

As for this weekend, should be a pretty intense game. Jesuit and Rummel do hate each other. I say Rummel by 7.
