He's playing hardball, because of Redneck Jerrah.

And owners will give it 2 him. He's made them so much cash, that his $$ is a drop in the bucket.

And he's only getting 6mil per year more than he did in last contract.(44mil per) Owners know how good of a villain Roger will be for them, and in next contract negotiations, owners are going to need some one who can stand up to NFLPA.

Last contract negotiations, Roger went in raw, used both fists, and then a foot with out the lube on the NFLPA. Owners never forget.

He really hasn't, he's just been in charge when they've made a ton of cash.

They could likely pay someone 10% of that $50mil figure that would be able to do just as good of a job s Goodell.

I guess only rich people can demand free healthcare.

I agree but don't really give a damn how much money the owners pay. of course, they recover that in the form of ticket prices and extorting the cities they operate in.

the NFL has peaked and we will see a slow decline (perhaps already has started) in viewership and fans. the sport will not die but neither did boxing when it was discovered that it was completely fricking up the participants but it's popularity will diminish.

Love that he's upset about a non guaranteed contract offer.

Sounds like the owners are lining up on Roger's side instead of Jerry's side. Dumb decision. Roger is ruining the NFL.

He has to work in protections in case he gets lifelong debilitating tennis elbow.

That's exactly right. He's doing exactly what he's being paid to do. Jerry's just mad because it's one of his players this time around.

Unless Goodell finds a way to counteract the effects of CTE and brain damage from playing football he won't be worth the money. The number 1 problem facing the NFL is CTE and more and more families not allowing their kids to play it.

And that's the problem. Roger creates more negative controversy for the league rather than solve its problems. No reason for there to be a Zeke controversy. I can't even tell you what it is even about anymore. Was there even an escalation of penalties with him? Or did it jump right to 6 games? Maybe if the punishment was just a game or two Zeke would have taken his penalty and life would have moved on.
