re: RIP Sha’Carri Richardson’s Track Career

She hasn't trained much since the Olympic trials. She only raced today for the appearance $$$.

Shelly Ann laughing her arse off at her. I'm sure she's a joke in sprinting circles now b/c she couldn't lay off the blunts and missed the biggets opportunity of her career. From her interviews, she's sounds like a complete moron, while most of the Jamaicans (at least in their interviews) come off as very sweet and dedicated.
In saying all that, Richardson also ran a like two-hundredths off Flo Jo's WR at the trials just 8 or 9 weeks ago. She'll be fine if she gets her head (and perhaps her "regime" back going). Sprinters do this. They fall off snd then come back. It's called cycling.
She's probably also been out of it mentally for the last month and got out of shape since the Olympic ban, while everyone else in the field is likely still in apex shape coming off Tokyo.
... Or the weed could have been her superpower and now she's Samson w/O his hair. Either way, I still belive she'll be back in the mix for the World Championships next year.

Nike should probably stop showing this commercial about waiting at the finish line for the other runners

Elaine Thompson, the double double champ, ran the best 100m in 30+ years and people are talking about the last place finisher

So what if they are? Not a big deal

I watched a video on youtube awhile back from some guy who has been in track and field for decades, both as a competitor and a coach. He was breaking down her events and talking about how she was so close to Flo Jo's numbers. He made a pretty compelling case that Sha'Carri was juicing hard. Her falling off the pace this far would tend to support that.

Just saw that. Literally all the other runners were at the finish line, waiting, while she was still running.

A lot of judgement grandpa's on here...she is still young.

She looks like Cardi B on a crack diet

No it doesn't but he is. Have you ever listened to his interviews? He hates talking about himself. Why do you think he isn't?
Also he isn't even on any social media. What other star or any player in the NBA for that matter can you say that about? He is even married to a very average looking white(she looks more white) girl..he is a true baw.

I know you're overjoyed right now. But she did lose to a Jamaican. That should bring your spirits down a little.

As much as I belive the Jamaicans are juiced to the gills, most of their top female sprinters don't tend to have that "look" of PEDs. Elaine Thompson is pretty slender and slight, while Frazier-Pryce just looks like a compact bowling ball.
Flo Jo and Richardson both look very similar in body type and build, and both are/were suspected of juicing.
However, I still belive basically all elite sprinters are all amplified in one way or another. Tracks and Field at the level is probably as dirty as cycling.

While the race was horrendous it’s still just one race. Chill out.
Posted on 8/21/21 at 6:44 pm to Bench McElroy
It was a terrible race but track athletes run about 15-20 of them in a season. Sometimes more.
One race, great or terrible, does not a career make.
