i think you are looking at someone who just misspoke/typed. dont think he is saying yall agreed to a trade with only the lakers, only to have a third team be the deciding factor
think he is saying that the lakers came to you and said we are working with the suns and the bulls to get "", would you take it if we make it work? and yall said yes. only for the bulls and suns to ultimately not agree to play a part. so therefore, we moved on and are now working with the hawks

Right, if the "Lakers have official (sic) told pelicans what they are putting on the table, and the pelicans have agreed to it", then why do they need to involve a third team?
Did the conversation go like this, "Hey Griff, we're willing to give up Ingram, Lonzo, Kuz, Hart, 4, and a 2020 pick", and Griffin responded, "I understand that, but I don't want Kuz and Lonzo, flip those for assets that I want and we can make a deal"?
If so, then we're still pretty damn far apart.

Okay, but I highly doubt the Pels want 8 and 10, rather than 4. So let me ask again, what do the Hawks have that the Pels want?
I don't really see it, unless possibly the Hawks are willing to give up 8 and Huerter or Collins for 4. That seems pretty steep though.

Wouldn't they want 4 instead?
The Pelicans want a high level player from a 3rd team.

you have literally told me on here that the 4th pick has no value in this draft. that it might as well be the 20th pick. so it seems like flipping that into a future pick to a team like atlanta who will most likely get you top 6/7 odds at winning the lottery next year would bring value

This issue with this is that the Pels wouldn't hold up the deal with the Lakers just because they want to turn the 4th pick into a later pick this season and a future pick. Think about that. That definitely isn't the sticking point in this trade. The Pels most likely don't want Kuz and Lonzo, and want those players to be turned into assets that they like. I doubt seriously, that it's that they don't want the 4th pick. They aren't including Atlanta, because they want to help Atlanta

This doesn't make the slightest bit of sense.
They don't need to get a 3rd team involved to get a worse pick.
