Id say the wonderlic isn't a decent indicator of anything...
It is somewhat comparable to a moderately easy MENSA quiz.
I believe it is mostly pattern recognitions and math of varying difficulty.

back to football... Pat Haden was a Rhodes scholar and sucked as an NFL qb.
and I think Cam Newton got like a 21 which is barely average, and he's doing great.
The guy's success in college is a great indicator of what he'll do in the pros. I mean, he did play against SEC defenses week in and week out. Oh wait.
But anyway, he did run a pro-style offense. It's not like he ran the spread. Oh wait.

I don't think that. I do think that if I am trying to learn how smart someone is and I have their grades and an opportunity to find out the wonderlic, you can bet your arse I'm going to find out the wonderlic, especially if a lot of my money is on the line. It's not the end all be all, but people give grades away. don't be naive.
you couldn't even spell the fricking test's name at first, and yet you are gonna hype it to be the fricking stanford-binet IQ test that it isn't

Think what you want, man. Wonderlic is not a word I use often enough to know how to spell, and I was too lazy to look it up at the time. I know lots of other words, though.
I'm sure you went to a big fancy college and know way more than I do, though.

But it's not like starting (or Heisman, for that matter) QBs are just effortlessly collecting master's degrees during their four years in school.

But don't tell me an NCAA quarterback is smart just because he got good grades and sounds smart.
Much better evidence than a single arbitrary test.

it's not about the words. it's about the fact that you are going to talk up a test that you don't even know how to spell.

you are obviously fricking stupid, the way you keep harping on spelling. I can spell the shite out of words.

3 year grad from Baylor. frick yes he's smart.

I have taken the fricking test, man. I know exactly what it is about.

can he take the hits?
He's the same size as Aaron Rodgers who really hasn't had any serious long term injuries in his career.
It's not like the guy is 6'2 180. He's already a world class athlete that was in a college strength and conditioning program for 4 years. He's going into league that has arguably the best strength and conditioning environment in the world. He'll be able to take the hits just fine.

RGIII will get converted to WR.

I love that people use Vince Young as an example of why the wonderlic is important. He may have scored bad but i would say his off the field drama had a lot more to do with his sucking than his wonderlic.

He's 6'2'' 223. Not exactly small.
You could say he's got it ALLLLLLLLLLLL!
wonder how many of you punk kids will get that reference?
What RGIII shows (anecdotally) is we'd be better off if a higher percentage of kids were raised by senior enlisted folks.

But if you listen to RGIII speak during interviews you can tell he's a bright guy.
What? This statement is dumb. I know plenty of people whom speak well , but are dumbasses. You can't tell someone intellect by their speech.

Atleast he presents himself as a solid franchise QB in the league. You won't have to worry about him having a R.Leaf or V.Young type of meltdown.
Also, the folks who think he can't take a hit should look at film from the Texas tech game in Dallas.
