Report: Mayweather-Pacquiao PPV Will Cost $99 by Tactical1
Anyone that pays this is stupid... Even if you have ten guys over and split the cost....

who would pay to watch this crap anyway
This fight is turning into ESPN, where everyone says they won't watch and never would. However, the tv ratings are goings to be out the roof and everyone is going to know what happened and who should have won or lost. That's impossible to know if you didn't watch

After the first Bradley/Pacquiao fix job, I vowed never to pay for a fight again. Even without shenanigans like that, the average fan like me doesn't really enjoy watching Money dance around all night. He'll dance around, win a close one, then they will do it again in 6-12 months.

idk what the exchange rate is but yall are getting a steal...
i remember seeing when a Tyson fight broke the $50 barrier and i thought "damn i'm not paying that much for a fight"
i wonder how long it will be before it gets shown on HBO?
or check that... some of them fights up till the early 90s are on ESPN every now and then

I wouldn't pay that for ringside seats.
The only time I've ever paid to see a fight on PPV was the Holyfield/Tyson fight (the ear biting fight). A bunch of friends put up like $15/each and we had a party at the guy's house that had the largest TV and ordered some pizza -- the $15 included everyone's share for the pizza.
I'm still not sure if it was worth it. But, the pizza was good.

One of the greatest 15th rounds (yes... 15th!) ever fought...
Larry Holmes vs. Ken Norton
.... was free.
They traded punches, toe to toe, almost the entire round with the last minute one of the best minutes in all of sport.

This is going to be the most overpriced boring fight ever.

What's got you confused there, little buddy?

I don't know generally when I have no interest in something I don't spend money on it. Maybe that's just me?

Generally that's true. But big events like this are different. I haven't watched a live boxing match in a very long time but I'll throw up some bones for a cover charge and some drinks to watch this one. Same goes for World Cup, World Series, etc.

There's name recognition attached to both those men. Just like women who have no interest in football, but watch the super bowl as it's a social thing as well other than just watching the fight.

$100? That's a fun coupon...

99.9% of the fans who have followed their careers for decades can't afford to go to the event because they jacked up the prices to an absurd amount. Plus, I think only 1k are going on sale. The rest are going to casino high rollers and celebrities.
So you're upset that businessmen want to make the most amount of money they can? That's capitalism for you. It's the foundation of this country.
I think it's underpriced if anything. People would pay more. No one's being taken advantage of. I want to watch the fight so I'll pay $30 more than I paid for the last Mayweather fight I ordered.
Could the fight disappoint? Sure it could, but I'm ok with paying for the chance that it might be great. Plus I want to see Pacquiao get humiliated.

Same here. Man I miss the late 90's/early 2000 boxing. Roy Jones, Tito, Prince Naseem, Oscar, Vargas, etc..
