I got the NBA ones, and it was in the 90's...I can't find the exact ones but they looked kinda like these:

I had forgot about those! Yup, that makes me feel old.

Haha these pencils are awesome! I still have a ton of them! When I moved into my new house my mother brought some old junk of mine to dump on me and 2-3 sets of these pencils were in the "junk". My stuff is also from early 90's
And yes I never sharpened any of them.

My kindergarten lunchbox was ahead of its time, it already knew Seattle would be moving to the NFC

I have about 10 helmets you could get out of the gumball machine where you had to apply the stickers to complete the helmet.
Look like these

I did this as a kid in the 90's with football and baseball themed pencils.

I loved these when I was a kid. The hardest part was trying to get helmets you didn't already have come out.

My school sold those out of the office. Fun thing was, you couldn't ask for a particular team. It was completely random. I tried really hard to put together a complete collection of 28, but never could get a few of the teams. I have no idea where they are now.

Those NBA pencils look like good pencils for a game of pencil break.

No I wish they had those available.

YEAH! I was a little plastic helmet collector. I had multiples....eventually just got the whole set in one purchase . The 25 cent machines werent working out.

I never wanted to sharpen them though.

I'm not sure if it was Ponderosa or Bonanza, but they used to give the little helmets out to kids. But i always got the same damn teams. Eagles or Vikings, nearly every time.

Brings back memories, yes I had them every year in the 70's.

Neither did I, that's why I only used the ones of the teams I hated.

Falcons and Bucs were the first two I'd sharpen

That's because in 1976 Seattle was in the NFC, they moved to the AFC the next year

I had stuff like that and I was in middle school in the 2000s
