I love this shite! Nobody was trying to play with each other back then like they are now. Back then all the superstars wanted to kill each other.

AAU mentality has ruined the NBA.

It's pretty easy to say this after your playing days are over

When contacted for a response, MJ had the following to say:

“frick Reggie. I won 6 rings without him”

MJ and Reggie on the same team definitely would’ve produced the most prolific scoring offense in the history of the game, MJ would’ve gotten him to improve his defensive game as well. At least Reggie can seek comfort in his championship rings OH WAIT LOL.

I’m under 40 and agree with Reggie.

My thing about this whole conversation is there’s no way, NO WAY IN THE WORLD, Reggie would reach MJ’s level as a player or be the best player on a title team, he’s more a Scottie Pippen/Wilkins-level player (lesser when compared to Scottie since he didn’t play D). It probably would’ve been BETTER for Reggie’s legacy if he was the Robin to Jordan’s Batman or whatever analogy you want, Jordan extracted the best basketball out of a bunch of scrubs and role players, give him someone like Reggie, that team’s setting the world on fire, combine them with Scottie, that team sets records for greatest MOV ever with legendary offense AND defense.

The only time the NBA stars wanted to team up with each other was to kick the shite out of other countries in 1992.

MJ in particular wanted to destroy Toni Kukoc and his Croatian team because he was Jerry Krause's boy who had been drafted by the team in 1990 and stayed in Europe until Jordan retired after the third title.

You could be right, but Reggie didn’t want to be a Robin. Hell, he was a Game 7 away from knocking off the Bulls in ‘98, and advanced to the Finals in ‘00.

The current crop of pussies probably doesn’t want to beat another country. They hate the USA and wouldn’t want to offend someone else.

Can you imagine if the teams from the 80s had this NBA era mentality. You would have Larry Bird and Magic Johnson teaming up together and hell throw in Isiah Thomas lol.

In 1991, MJ and others block Zeke from Dream Team.

In 2021, MJ and others would block Zeke from playing on any of the 4 superstar teams.

What if Carl Malone asked him to come to Utah to beat the bulls?
