I think he looks better than he did as a runner in New Orleans

case in point.

Dude, did you watch the Saints-Cards playoff game a couple of years ago? Reggie is a role player, not a feature back.

He's a beastly role player when he wants to be. I love Reggie but he is what he is. If the Dolphins want him to last more than 3 games, they'll give the ball to Daniel Thomas

Well it appears they are comfortable using him as a feature back

It will be interesting to see how he performs if they can mount a decent lead in a game and start running the ball more. I don't think he had much of a chance last night to really get going and the interior of the NE D line is just going to maul everyone they play.

Yeah..just pay attention to the ne d this year and see how many people run all over them. Not gonna be a trend. Wilfork and haynesworth are the best dt tandem the nfl has seen in a decade

holy frick, how much back peddling can you do in one thread? bush makes a couple of nice runs early, you over react, after he winds up doing, pretty much what he's always done, which is show a couple of flashes here and there, but not play a whole game, you start making excuses. They were behind, or NE has the best DT's in NFL history. Some one will run for a C note on NE this.

This must be a joke right? There were only a handful of offensive snaps where he wasn't on the field

They got away from the run early because they couldn't stop the NE offense

Really?? It was a 1 score game until 3 min left in the 3rd quarter. In fact, dolphins scored first and went up 7-0, yet they got away from the run??

They started running less when they were down 14-7 and it was apparent that they could neither stop the Pat's offense, nor could they block the NE front

I think they should have exercised some more patience with the running game personally

oh for fricks sake Greg Brady, he doesn't preform for a whole game. He'll have a play here or there, but then he will disappear for long stretches of the game.

ETA: he may at some point even have a good game, he will also make some boneheaded turnover that costs the team.

Sproles > Bush.

dude their Oline is one of their biggest causes for concern...they've talked about how it wasn't up to par all offseason

maybe pass protection
but they can are really good at run blocking

I won't argue that. He looked a lot better in the Saints offense.

I do think that Bush will have a better year if he can stay healthy though.

I'm predicting at least 3-100 yard games and probably 60+receptions on the year

Was this thread really made after a single 13 yard run by Bush?

If so, that's fricking awesome.

Since the Pats went up 14-7, the phins forced 2 punts, a missed field goal, and then an interception. I'd say that's a good stretch of defense, in which case they didn't run well because they couldn't.

Of course, you can then again just point out, after one game, how new england has the best defensive tackles evar!!

Are you suggesting that they don't have a great DT tandem?

yeah

and apparently the reader should have inferred he meant what Bush was able to do with consistency

Isn't consistency everything though?

Jordan Jefferson had a 80 yard TD run against Tenn. That doesn't make him a better runner than Vince Young.
