re: Reggie Bush looking like a pro bowler so far

He was attacking the holes well between the tackles.
He did that a couple of times in NO, but never several games in a row, hell he hardy did it for multiple drives in a row.
His career high for yards is 581, so it would not exactly require a pro bowl season to break that.
no one has ever doubt his ability in the passing game. The only year he played in 16 games was his rookie year, when he went for 1307 total yards, I'd be surprised if he did much better than that.

He should have just used him as a running back and cut down on trying to spread him out as a WR and all that jazz
Why? Reggie doesn't thrive as "just a RB." He thrives as a back who can run, catch, return, decoy, etc. Besides, as you've pointed out, he wasn't consistent as a RB anyway (which is why they used McAllister, Stecker, Ivory, PT, etc.). Reggie was/is one of those guys who isn't really cut out for #1 RB duties, but is still talented enough that the threat of him breaking one open is almost as important as him actually doing it.

I'm expecting about 1900 total yards if he can avoid injury

Be that as it may it appears the fins are going to use him as their feature back
We'll see how it plays out
A lot of people think that Payton used him brilliantly and I tend to disagree with that

Looks like Reggie still runs the ball like Reggie.
They just need to convert him to a slot WR full time.

That's the best run defense he'll play against all year
The O-line should improve
He'll get about 15-20 carries at an average of 5 YPC and make up the rest in receiving yards.

You got all this from seeing the game last night?
He had 38 rushing yards...

But on only 11 carries against one of the best run stopping defensive lines in NFL history

Shake the haters. Reggie fricking sucked in between the tackles for an NFL RB with a $54 million contract.
ETA: He won't be as good for Miami as you are asserting though.

His career avg is 4.0, why would a guy that has been hurt 4 of 5 seasons, suddenly stay healthy and gain a full yd more than his career avg?

Well at least he waited a full game to make that assessment.

nothing like hyperbole to support your cause.
Keep in mind NE routinely kicks the shite of teams, which means their opponents have to abandon the run in the 2nd half.

I feel like he would have had a better career utilized as a percy harvin type...oh well

This run defense is going to be 2000 Ravens good if they stay healthy
The front 4 is probably the best defensive line assembled in the last 5 years easily

Already forgot about the 09 Vikings d-line?
Posted on 9/13/11 at 6:12 pm to HideChaKidz
That line couldn't match the interior of the pats line. When haynesworth has his shite together he is a top 5 player in the entire league. Wilfork is also a monster. Probably a top 10 dt
