Herschel should won in 80

Impressive that Ware won his with no TV coverage. That’s how great his year was.

A guy like Tim Brown winning will never happen again. Being a WR and playing on a non top 10 team. I’m not even sure how it happened at that time.

He and the Houston Cougars beat SMU by the score of 95-21 that season.

Tim Brown played multiple positions kick returner. He was the best player that year ND or not. Holtz saved him Faust didn’t know what to do with him.

And they did. Houston racked up 1,021 yards against SMU that day. That's freaking incredible.

Rogers should be below Brown

He wasn’t even the best player that year. He should’ve been 3rd behind Walker and Hugh Greene

Obviously he was an extremely talented player, and he did as much as they required him to do. But you would think if a WR won it, they would have monster receiving numbers and play on a top 5 team. It’s just so hard for them to even get invited much less win it but he did it.

I wasn’t alive for it Rogers
But just from the looks of his season/everyone else’s that year he’s definitely near the bottom

It's crazy how few RBs have won the Heisman in recent years. It's a QB's award now. Since 2000, I think only three RBs have won the Heisman (Reggie Bush, Mark Ingram, and Derrick Henry).

Because it’s a QB’s offense now. Almost every team is pass happy.
