I mean it’s not like he’s any less talented at playing receiver because of this. He’s just an idiot that’s also really good.

This is the same argument I was making about Zeke yesterday. Yea he comes off immature and does stupid stuff, but when he's on the field he's the best the NFL has to offer

@AdamSchefter: There are those around the league who now believe the Raiders could suspend Antonio Brown with the idea of trying to void the $30.125 million of guaranteed money in his contract.

Which obviously would end his time in Oakland.

DeAndre Hopkins will be here shortly to tell us Mayock reminds him of his former nemesis Simon Legree.

Dumb move by the Raiders. They knew what they were getting with AB and now all of a sudden want to act surprised? By suspending him they are taking away the only good thing AB can actually do for you.

This is what you get with AB..I thought they knew this.

That is normal contract language.

Apparently so, according to former Jets GM Mike Tannenbaum's tweets

quote:

The significance of a suspension is that it would void (assuming normal contract language) his $29,125,000 in contract guarantees. However, if he's on the Active Roster on opening day his $14,625,000 '19 salary becomes guaranteed because he's a Veteran. They could suspend him
quote:

and then release him and then they would owe him nothing in terms of guaranteed money. The Raiders in all likelihood would try to recoup their $1,000,000 signing bonus as well.

@RapSheet: More on #Raiders WR Antonio Brown and Mike Mayock yesterday: It did not get physical, sources say. But after a screaming match, Brown told Mayock that he would hit him in the face and then punted the ball… and said, Fine me for that. ??????

I think there is plenty of stupid going around, starting with AB losing his goddamn mind to end last season in Pittsburgh.

You’d have though almost getting traded to Buffalo would have turned a light on, but the Raiders took him in. And now it looks like they are going to toss him out and few teams will take a chance on his dumb arse.

for all those claiming cte or brain issues for AB....didn't ryan clark come out years ago and say that antonio was crazy and a huge problem and that once he got paid, he would be a nightmare?

let's not jump to crazy conclusions about CTE when a guy who knew him called this on national television years before it happened.

frick that, you're a first year GM you can't let someone like that walk all over you. Stand your ground, he skipped a walk through for no reason and told no one and got fined. Cut him after he forfeits the guaranteed money if it comes to that.

Did anyone around here get worked up over the foot and helmet thing?
seemed like people did

What was the 100% full story that Gruden knew that was being bastardized by us and the media?
that the media was acting like they knew nothing about the foot or that they were getting frustrated about the helmet and that there were tensions with the front office with him not being at camp

Agreed, except for the whole "pro athlete millionaire thing". That quite literally makes him a winner. I mean only doing something .02% of athletes accomplish is not impressive at all, am I right?
