What Carruth did was ten times worse than what Nassar did.

Aly Raisman still has her life.

Aly Raisman isn't mentally challenged.

She can show the cameltoe he touched to SI and make thousands off of it.

GTFO.

No kidding, why don’t we simplify this as much as possible. That’s like saying Timothy McVey got the death penalty for playing with matches.

There’s so many other better examples you could’ve chosen, yet you decided to use a dude that was a legit sexual predator for pre teen girls for decades as Your litmus test for overzealous jail times which results in your grossly dismissing the terrible things that Nassar did.

Both guys deserve to be locked up forever. Both are sick fricks. Simple as that. And the way you seemingly are defending Nassar makes me think you’re a bit of a sick frick too.

Never defended Nassar, but if you're asking, of the two, who should have gotten a "death warrant," it should have been Carruth.

Literally no one asked that that’s some weird equivalency that you created

That’s not what he is saying and the point is going over your head. The initial issue was calling Nassar’s actions “groping.” Oversimplifying some pretty fricked up actions that he did for years. There was never an argument over who should get the worse penalty.

I think sexually molesting dozens of minor children over the course of decades can be arguably worse or every bit as bad as hiring a hitman to murder your girlfriend. I don't believe in Carruth getting out after 18 years if that makes you feel any better.

Everything is based on comparison.

Nassar gets 140 years for molestation.

Then you have Carruth, who gets only 18 years for murder of his girlfriend, and causing his unborn child to later live a life of mental retardation.

Which is worse?

Rae Carruth was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder. He was sentenced based on the NC sentencing guidelines. Nassar was accused by 265 different women of sexual assault in multiple different states. He was also convicted of federal offenses of child pornography.

Nassar had 265 victims (posibly more). Carruth had 2. However, both should die in prison. Unfortunately only one will.

That's fine if he's changed, but given what he went to prison for, that'll need to be enough for him. I think any type of reconciliation with the family is unreasonable.

One is dead and the other is mentally retarded.

265 victims? Yes, he should get half a year for each, and he did. But these women are still able to live a normal life. Carruth's GF and son will not.

Difference of opinion, but in my eyes? Nassar>Carruth

define normal. Most victims of sexual molestation live far from a normal life. Are they physically healthy, sure. Mentally healthy? Many times, never. I think rapists and child molesters should be eligible for the death penalty. How's that for a hot take?

I agree.

Aly Raisman posing for SI showing off a cameltoe seems normal.

Look, if someone says Nassar got what he deserved, I would agree; however, if I had the chance to switch sentences for Carruth and Nassar, I would.

Did this psycho really think that people would be okay if he seeked custody of the son he tried to murder while in his mother’s womb, whom he murdered?

We shouldn't be comparing two evil, twisted humans to see who was worse. We should be trying to figure out why North Carolina didn't send Carruth straight to death row.
