"For all involved or invested in this ordeal, please calm down," Carruth wrote in the letter to the newspaper. "I will no longer be pursuing a relationship with Chancellor and Ms. Adams. I promise to leave them be, which I now see is in everyone's best interest."

Carruth wrote that including in the first letter his desire to enter Chancellor's life was a mistake and he admitted that was too optimistic, even though he still wants to "make amends with Chancellor and try to be the father that I should have been from day one.''

"I now understand that any notions of me one day being welcome to Sunday dinner is totally out of the question," Carruth wrote in the second letter, which was postmarked Feb. 21. "And lastly, I didn't foresee the media and general public being unanimous in its belief that I shouldn't be allowed to ever have anything to do with Chancellor."

"I now understand that any notions of me one day being welcome to Sunday dinner is totally out of the question,"

Ya think Rae Rae. What an idiot

I mean it's possible he's a changed man. If he tries to atone for his wrongdoings her should get a chance.

There’s nothing wrong with him attempting to atone for what he did. The problem is, (and I’m not certain he actually understands this even now) his approach was completely jacked up.

You don’t just step out of prison after murdering your sons mother and almost killing him and declare to the world that your intent is to remove him from the person who stepped up and raised him. If he wants to be a part of his sons life, it absolutely needs to be on the grandmother’s terms.

What he’s saying now honestly just makes me think that he’s still completely clueless and wants to make this about him.

Larry Nassar got two life sentences for groping, while Rae Carruth got 18 years for murdering his girlfriend and mentally f*cking up his son for life. What...the...frick?

that's great he might have changed. but he should also accept that due to his past actions he has forfeited any right to be involved with his son.

Sure. But you lose all right to play that card when you do what he did.

Why is that POS talking about getting out of prison.

He shouldn't be released.

You think groping is more serious than straight up murder?

If you are going to qualify what Nassar did as “groping” then you can go ahead and classify what Carruth did as cash transaction for a service.

my whole argument which I don't think is being seen here is if he wants to make a mends and try his best to right his wrong then he should get the chance. I don't think the punishment for his crime was long enough doesn't mean he shouldn't get a fair chance to show he's a changed man.

He can ask the caretaker if she would allow him to see him, that’s on her to decide. But he has no right to actually make himself involved.

He took away that kids ability to live a normal life, I don’t think that ever entitles you to a spot in the life you created for him. Don’t care how long it’s been or how sorry you are.
