Actually, hearing the audio, it perfectly sums up these leftist morons. Rachel Nichols in the audio recording basically said she’s all in favor of diversity, but she wants ESPN to find it somewhere else and not “take her thing away”. In other words, she is in favor of diversity, but doesn’t want to be pushed out of her job to give that job to a minority. She wants ESPN to “find it somewhere else”, meaning, push someone else out of a job.
Perfectly sums up these liberal hacks. They’re all for opening the border, just don’t let them come into their neighborhood. They’re all for gun confiscation, but not for their own private security. They’re all for imposing their social experiments on the serfs, but not for themselves. Rules for thee but not for me. They’re all a bunch of hacks.
It actually reminds me of another gem from ESPN. Here is reporter Chris Palmer during the George Floyd riots:

Yes I have nothing better to do than make that story up on a Sunday morning. Of course nothing was in writing, it was a closed door conversation with her, her boss and 1 other admin.
I work for a fortune 5 company and can 100% guarantee this happens. We have our own diversity department and each team has to be balanced. If I have a mostly white team and a position comes open, I will be contacted by our diversity team with minority candidates and “strongly” advised to hire one of them

My wife’s company now has a policy that every open position has to have a “minority candidate” in the project round of the interview process (the final round before hiring) … so if none apply or are not good enough to reach that round the job has to just remain unfilled even if they have a qualified “non-minority” candidate
she is leaving because as you can imagine they have a lot of unfilled roles
ETA all of this got instituted after George Floyd and as you can imagine it’s been a failure, so they have to keep expanding the “minority status” … it now includes military veterans and non college degrees. they also now have a waiver process so departments can actually somewhat begin to hire who they want again
