Can't blame the Pitt players for this. They got to spend a couple of days in Detroit, saw how awesome that city is compared to Pittsburgh, and got totally distracted. The Pitt players just can't focus.
Eastern Michigan is playing like they've been to Detroit before, seeing as how Ypsilanti is practically a suburb.

The penalty sucks but coaches need to make sure their players understand the rules and that they need to behave themselves after a big play. Their big play was almost negated by their stupidity. Avoid the flag.
