Question about New Orleans High School Football

I like to look up a lot of stuff on google maps. I spend hours on it most weeks. I noticed a few high schools in New Orleans don't have their own football stadiums. Where do they play home games? Tad Gormley? Specifically St Aug and BM. But I notice some others don't have them either.

Tad gormley for all Catholic schools except Rumble and Shaw.
Recently Zephyr field as well.

as a Crusader... BM has played the vast majority of their home games at Tad Gormley Stadium over the years
but recently they've also played home games at Pan American Stadium (the smaller stadium in City Park), the artist formerly known as Zephyr Field (now known as The Shrine on Airline), and Joe Yenni Stadium
While I can't confirm this myself... I've heard that there has been talks of moving more BM home games out to Yenni since a good bit of the student body comes out of Metairie to start with

Same as the others, Gormley and Pan Am. They even played a game this past year at Tulane.

I would say that most of the schools in the NO area do not have their own stadium, I can think of: Newman, Chalmette, Lusher, Carver, and one soon to be built at Shaw. Most of the river parish schools and Northshore schools have their own because they have the land to build it on. The lack of stadiums and desire to not play as many games on Saturday is the reason that Zephyr Field was put into the mix.

This is mostly true, although the Zebra Cakes are looking to ingratiate themselves into the sports fans' consciousness to, hopefully, increase their own attendance by hosting games on Airline Highway.
The OTHER reason is that prior to last season, John Curtis Christian School played their home games at Muss Bertolino in Kenner. That's the home field of Brother Martin, Holy Cross and Jesuit lacrosse. The visitors side isn't even big enough for one opposing marching band, much less their fans. Something had to be done in Jefferson Parish and the Zebra Cakes offered a solution.
Zephyr is not the best place to watch high school football, I'll tell you that, and it's not optimal for bands during the game, either. Best seating is upstairs, if you want to know the truth, BUT they have the best concessions.
Brother Martin has not played at Pan-American in three years, or more. Our crowd, and again the band, are way too big to fit on one side, and folks are reluctant to sit on the other side.
Rummel wanted to build and enlarge on their property, as they're constrained by Yenni because the public schools get preference. The neighbors had a collective hissy fit when it was proposed.
Lately, DeLaSalle have played home games at the new (post-Katrina) stadium out at Joe Brown Park in the East.
Yulman/Tulane can only have so many night openings per the agreement with the surrounding neighborhood. That includes Green Wave and high school games. That neigborhood threw a collective tizzy, as well, when TU first proposed the stadium.

Carver doesn't have their stadium there...
There was that field of dreams thing announced and another soccer stadium in Algiers announced a few years ago that both never saw the light of day
Small schools might be using Harrell soon, and there's a field off of Claiborne by the Lafitte Greenway that has bleachers up now.
Another school that you missed that has their own stadium is Ecole Classique

Shaw and westbank Jefferson Parish public schools play at Hoss Memtsas Stadium (West Jeff HS).
Rummel and eastbank JP public schools play at Joe Yenni Stadium (East Jeff HS).

It’s nice to be in the River Parishes, every school has a pretty nice stadium....except Riverside’s.

Yeah I live near that one, and I guess you can call it a stadium. It reminds me a little bit of the old Chalmette Middle School field, which I grew up next to, but CMS was better IMO

When I was in high school during the 1980s this was a shithole stadium and no one in the Catholic league played there.

People in small towns/suburbs don't realize how spoiled they are with their own stadiums for each high school. In the cities it's not uncommon to play on district fields. Enough teams are on the road or have their own field for it to work. Local colleges may also rent out their facilities, especially when you get to playoffs with bigger crowds.

Country Day also had their own field.
Brother Martin, McDonogh 35, and Jesuit have space to build a stadium on their campuses. Brother Martin uses their field for baseball and other purposes so I doubt they want to develop it. Jesuit probably doesn't want to use their land as a stadium either.
Holy Cross did for a bit but it's their baseball stadium now.

It's literally just a big ugly field.
On the upside, they have no issue with you BYOing. You will actually feel out of place if you don't.

Yea I went to a game there recently and it was a cool atmosphere. It was like a neighborhood event.

My poor Catlic high school in Texas had half a stadium that was ancient and rundown so we only used it for practice. In a different locker room every Friday night. They finally built a new stadium after I graduated and - amazingly - the team got better and started attracting better players and coaches.

No New Orleans schools have their own stadium.
Bigger schools play at Tad Gormley, smaller ones at Pan American, for the most part.
That’s why we have so many games on Thursday’s and Saturday’s.
