Well I didn’t call Joe Flacco elite so now you’re making straw men but it is hilarious that you think Hurts is elite, who I like as a player btw.
Did you read the OP? Are you following anything?

He called Flacco elite. I never said hurts was elite man I said if you want to put Flacco as elite you have to call players like hurts elite

Is it dumb to reference his career 56% completion, 7 yards per attempt, 80 passer rating, and 1.5/1 td/int ratio?

Want to talk about modern stats yet ignore actual defensive stats

Holy strawman. I didn’t argue any of that, and his stats are bad compared to elite players from the same timeframe.

In the 2010s you had 4 elite QBs, and 5-6 rotating Good QBs

It’s the exact same now.

comparing raw stats of QBs from Vick's prime to now is dumb
What about comparing his stats to his peers?

Link? I mean let’s just ignore the fact that yeahs were using fullbacks and under center a lot more then but you’d have to understand football.

when comparing him to a QB in 2024, yes
Vick's "prime" was arguably 2004-2006. He also had 2500 rushing yards over those three seasons and averaged 7.4 ypc on those attempts. Posting all his passing numbers without mentioning what made him so unique and great in that era is being intentionally intellectually dishonest. And just for the record, I've never said he wasn't overrated, but your arguments are still bad

NO
shite

Offense establishes system
Defense adjusts
Offense then finds a way to exploit adjustment

It’s literally the same exact thing that will always happen

When offenses started attacking more and spreading the ball out versus the more prominent running game, defenses then adjusted to more two high coverages

Now offenses are adjusting to that and running it more again

It’s not a secret Hell last season Mahomes faced 2 high safeties 92% of his snaps. That’s wild

Denver literally did it as well against Buffalo last week and just accepted getting throat fricked for 400 yards and 31 pts on the ground and short passes.

The peak Qb play of Rodgers, Brees, manning, and Brady in early 2010s are not even matched in today's Qb play.

Hell, that's ignoring guys like Matt Ryan and Phillip rivers who were borderline elite/elite numbers too.

You can’t use stats calling them irrefutable then when they don’t support your position say “muh reasons”. Thats a double standard my dude

Tell me why you think it’s better than Allen, Mahomes, burrow, and Lamar and then show me some metrics to defend it

Not being a dick but I’m interested to see the thought process
