This was a down year for the SEC.

5 teams in the top 13. Let us know the last time any other conference accomplished that.

If the SEC was “down” then all the other conferences were complete and utter dogshit.

The idea of leaving out 12-1 SEC champion Bama because of a September loss to a one-loss team is preposterous.

Except they would be leaving them out in favor of the team that gave them that 1 loss…

You obviously think ACC is greater or equal to SEC.

This year the SEC was not the dominate conference like in years past. In fact when you look at the OOC games already played this season against other P5 schools we looked pretty bad. There is a lot more parity in college football this year.

All things being equal, I’d still argue the SEC is a stronger conference, even this year.

Unfortunately for Bama, they are not currently looking at an ‘all things being equal’ scenario.

20 years of SEC dominance should certainly be referenced in evaluating the strength of schedule and how much value to put on a SEC Championship.

Sure if the SEC looked dominate this year but they didn’t. FSU best two SEC teams, including one with a potential Heisman winner. And Texas beat the team we are arguing about putting in.

Hell Ohio State or Oregon May have a better claim to get in because they lost to the top two teams. But we aren’t making that argument because we know the outcomes of those games that were played on the field this season.

In reality this is FSU's schedule. LSU 9-3, So. Miss 3-9, B.C. 6-6, Clem. 8-4, VA.Tech.6-6, Syracuse 6-6, Duke 7-5, Wake Forrest 3-8, Pitt 3-9, Miami 7-5, North Alabama 3-8, Florida 5-7 for a regular season of 67-76, then the played Louisville who just lost to Kentucky in the ACC Champ game.

Bama's opponents were 85-52 overall. Its not even debatable tbh, hell our top 15 wins trumps Texas' to 15 wins by far. It seems we stopped putting football people on the Committee and started putting pin head sissies who picked TCU last year. We should have never left the Computer models who have no bias.

In 2011 Alabama had a worse resume than Oklahoma St. and it was all about the eye test. The entitlement is pathetic.

If Bama is left out precedent has been firmly set that the one loss SEC champ takes a back seat to the undefeated ACC champ.
