Crazy Prediction:
Jonathan Droiun is going to catch fire and help the Lightning to the East Finals. For this to happen, Hedman (Foundation of our team) has to make it back or the Lightning's defense will be to much like Swiss Cheeseee. Boy, if Droiun did catch-fire. It would make the Lightning's front office job even tougher than it already is this off-season. Hopefully both sides can put that whole trade episode behind them. Either way, it sure is an interesting situation.

I'm not too concerned given that they haven't really played a meaningful hockey game in two months. Actually, I've liked how they've played the last two weeks despite the 1-1-3 record. That's way too many losses, but 3v3 OT doesn't exist in the postseason, and the Caps have been getting killed recently at threes. But they've actually improved their play as of late save for two things: a shockingly low shooting % and way too many odd man rushes.

It's mainly a team that's dominating possession but lacking the ability to finish. Since shooting % tends to be variable, I'm not TOO worried.

Honestly, last night's game will make neither coach happy. The Pens played like garbage in the neutral zone, and they squandered a huge lead. The Caps turned the puck over way too much in their own end and left Holtby out to dry repeatedly. The arena got jacked in the third, and both teams upped their level of play in the final 10 minutes, but that OT... woof. A series of whistles and false starts that was mercifully ended by the failure to account for Sidney f'n Crosby's whereabouts on the ice. He's a guy you might want to defend.

I'd love to play either the Flyers or the Bruins. Give me a big, physical team.

Oh, and Tom Wilson needs to cut the shite. That boarding was atrocious. He's lucky to avoid suspension on that hit. Garbage play.
