I smell a blowout. OSU has shown nothing to indicate it can win this game. Texas's one weakness (secondary) is masked because of OSU's lack of downfield passing game. Texas has a strong defensive line which should limit bullshite gains by Wells and Pryor. I believe Texas is in top 5 in rush defense and sacks, not sure though. Granted the Big 12 does not have great running games but regardless Texas has a manly defensive front four. Texas has more swagger, I swear OSU's mentality is damaged by their inability to show up in big games and compete with the elite teams. OSU has a Murphy's Law mentality, once something goes bad, it's like an avalanche. Evident with their personal fouls and braindead mistakes against LSU and USC.
On top of that, Texas runs a spread offense which OSU has shown vulnerability to in the past few years. Texas has far more to play for, is probably far more confident, and Mack Brown does a good job of preparing his team for games.
Texas is of comparable caliber to USC and we all know how that turned out. the Pryor/Wells excuse can suck it, just because they put up nice numbers against juggernauts like Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Michigan, and the rest of the garbage 11 doesn't mean they've closed the gap between them and the best teams.
Texas 38 Ohio State 10

Texas 34
Ohio State 21
Pryor will make some freshman mistakes against the Texas defense but he will also make some good plays. I think McCoy and the TX offense will be on a mission tonight and will be hitting on all cylinders.

I hate them both so it is really hard to pick.
How about 31-31 and 90 OT's? Still playing when BCS GC kicks off later this week.

Which would be the greatest game ever played, and take away hype from the BCSCG to the two teams you hate. Just saying.

Ohio State will win this game. Both teams are coming in with a chip on their shoulder, one for being left out of the NCG, and one for hearing all week about how Texas is going to dismantle them.
I'll take Ohio State with the upset.

First off I correctly predicted the winner. It was not irrational to think Texas would blow OSU out this game, it just didn't happen because Texas was not as good as advertised and had an inflated perception due to the softness of Big 12 defenses
The score was a fluke. When it was 17-6 Boeckman made a bullshite fluky pass to Robiskie. If he didn't make it, 4th down OSU punts and it could end up being 24-6 or 31-6.
The only thing I actually missed the mark on was I thought Texas had a good run defense. It toughened up in the 2nd half but was getting run over in the 1st half.
OSU's vulnerability to the spread was yet again evident. Texas only had 24 points but ended up with 480 yards. Texas should've had 27-31 points or so.
And of course, OSU had no downfield passes converted tonight. Pryor completed only a third of his passes against a mediocre secondary.
