He got banged around pretty good at the half mile point then gave it up. Surprised he finished 4th. Shows how weak this field was.

Horse racing really needs a triple crown winner, someone with the ability and charisma like Secretariat would really help.

Oxbow was 15-1.
5th lowest winner in a century.
Commentators were saying before the race that orb was gonna wanna get to the rail, but they wondered if he was ever gonna come back off of it. (Or the other jockeys let him get outside an make a run at it.)
Boy if they only knew how right they were gonna be.
He was sitting nice for a while, but when they squeezed him. He wanted no part of it. Damn shame.
Pace was pretty slow. I figured it was gonna be trouble after they were on the backstretch.

Yes, but Calumet was in the depths of bankruptcy and now they have a winner. It has been a while. Took them long time, but now they are getting it done.
